Dark Reality 0 Posted July 24, 2006 Which character would you say has the best introduction? (The scene where you first see them.) I think it's Ezri, just the way she shows up at the last minute, with Sisko on the piano, and she gets like one line (not counting the one outside the restaurant to Joseph Sisko), something like "Hello Benjamin" or "Hello Benjamin, it's me, Dax" and then it cuts. Usually characters introduced in the pilot don't have a special introduction. I don't think TNG had a mid-series new character introduction. Voyager did with Seven of Nine, but I don't recall that being all that special. At least not her introduction - it was more of a smooth assimilation (pun intended) into the crew. And Ezri's introduction to the rest of the crew was great too. Something like "Hello, good to see you", things like that, and then "we have to talk" to Worf, before skipping away. I just thought, "that's great" in a non-sarcastic way.
