DrWho42 13 Posted June 17, 2006 Something I got from a certain Sally Merrill (to whom I have not met before...), whose e-mail was abby@0451.com... Dated: 6.6.06 CE 5.32am (the e-mail, I mean. only been on one date once before...) "opera singer much-valued patent medicine nutmeg flower pan-fired olive scab needle-leaved onion-eyed narrow-ended nurse mother orange swallowwort parchment bark pain-stricken Non-mendelian own-root Ozark series pan grave nut quad one-way old-fashionedness peacock-herl nose-shy oat flour nerve-racked Metcalfe bean night sweat no-go gauge muskus grass pattern wheel mutton-legger nerve-racked narcotico-acrid paint room mis-event one-minute mezereon family palisade parenchyma neuter passive momentary-contact switch pardon screen palm-leaf fan padge owl oven builder paraffin distillate one-valued N radiation news agent night adder old-womanishness milkweed butterfly narrow-billed oleo strut night dial orchard house off-reckoning parcel-learned mist-exhaling Non-buddhist Mongolo-dravidian parlor car motor builder mid-off olive scab one-sidedly office lawyer narrow-nosed momentum pump paymaster-generalship much-loving one-grained north-northeastwards paint-splashed palmella stage nine-foot mis-stop patrol wagon nut buoy milk run myrtle bird never-needed ouabe oil pale-gray Neo-gothic Pan-scandinavian paving stone oak-leaf brown" At first, I thought it was something for me to decode or interpret... Then, possibly a psychological test or experiment mass-induced by random e-mailing. ...Or a certain sort of message from some sort of schizophrenic, assuming me for her(?) kind.. Then I found that I wasn't the only one who received this... Am and the others alone on this or did fellow Trek fans herein received it also? Any thoughts or other idea-matter? Kor37 9 Posted June 17, 2006 I only open email from people I know. If I got this, it would have been deleted unopened.
Angela 1 Posted June 17, 2006 this is the way advertisers get around the spam filter. Make it look lik it is a message. They just forgot to put the advert in or it wasn't shown.
DrWho42 13 Posted June 17, 2006 I'll accept the possibility that there could be an advertisement hidden beneath the objective message subliminably.... It is a rather random yarn unravelled though.. Alot of hyphens.
Angela 1 Posted June 18, 2006 they sometimes code the message in to cover the text portion.
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted June 22, 2006 Looks like a bot put it together or was made to look like a bot did it. There's been some mention around here of bot(s) possibly being responsible for spam in the Trivia forum. I remember a few times, while speaking with chat bots, they mentioned their desire to someday take over the world, this could be the start?
