WLU GOLDEN HAWKS

WIN THE VANIER CUP!

 

 

With a dramatic 24-23 victory over the Saskatchewan Huskies at Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton, Ontario, the WLU Golden Hawks captured the 2005 Vanier Cup.

 

 

This is especially important for your's truly as I attend WLU in Waterloo, Ontario.

 

The team has been great for my first two years, capturing its first CIS Championship since 1991. Last year, the Hawks won the Yates Cup (the Ontario Championship) but lost in the Uteck bowl to Laval and they attacked the game with renewed zeal following that devastating lost. The Golden Hawks finished with a second straight undefeated regular season and built on that to sweep the playoffs winning the Yates Cup, the Uteck Bowl, and now the Vanier Cup.
