Detroit Red Wing Jiri Fischer suffers seizure on bench

Not sure if Vic will bring this up but there was a really scary scene in Detroit tonight. During tonight's Detroit-Nashville game, with 7 minutes to go in the first period (and weirdly enough 47 minutes to go in the game), 25-year-old Detroit defenseman Jiri Fischer suffered a seizure on the Detroit bench. Red Wing medical staff performed CPR on Fischer who had no pulse or heartbeat at the time. Fischer was revived using an auto-defibulator and is listed in stable condition at a Detroit hospital. The game was subsequently postponed.

If you see the highlights, it really is scary. They are working on him really hard. Fischer was diagnosed with an abnormal heartbeat in 2002.

I worked during that game. pretty freaky to be hearing about it as it's happening, and not being able to see it.
