Kor37 9 Posted January 28, 2006 I read that article yesterday. The closest one to me is Kings Dominion in Virginia but I haven't been there in decades.
DrWho42 13 Posted January 28, 2006 In October 2004, I sent in an order for a yellow TOS uniform primarily for Halloween or any plusgoodful day or week....... But it still hasn't came in. Kor37 9 Posted January 28, 2006 Just about anything bought from The Experience can be bought cheaper elsewhere.
Takara_Soong 4 Posted January 28, 2006 But this isn't about buying souvenirs, it's about possibly losing a great Trek attraction. I want to go there and step foot on the Enterprise bridge so badly it hurts.
Kor37 9 Posted January 28, 2006 Was the Experience on the list of "theme parks" to be sold? I didn't think it was. If so, that is indeed disturbing! I plan on going there again in July. Stepping onto the Bridge is truly an awesome feeling Takara. I hope you get to do it!
Takara_Soong 4 Posted January 28, 2006 (edited) The article said that 5 theme parks were to be sold but didn't say anything about the Experience other than "the fate of Star Trek: The Experience has been uncertain since the Las Vegas Hilton was sold last year". Whether the Experience's operation would be transferred to a new division since the Paramount Parks division also manages Bonfante Gardens horticultural theme park (Gilroy, Calif.) and CBS Television City at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas, Nev.) as well as the Experience and those properties are not mentioned as being up for sale according to the original report in the Charlotte Observer that TrekToday was using as its source.
