Takara_Soong 4 Posted July 11, 2005 From TrekToday.com: Vaughn Armstrong (Admiral Forrest), Casey Biggs (Damar), Richard Herd (Admiral Paris), Ronald B. Moore (effects supervisor) and Steve Rankin (Colonel Green) have formed a musical group, the Enterprise Blues Band, along with fellow actor William Jones. The band’s first CD, Enterprise Blues Band, features seven tracks of original music. A press release from the band's web site explains that after Armstrong brought his ukulele to a convention, afraid that he would run out of things to talk about and wanting to perform some original music for a sympathetic audience, some of his fellow Star Trek guest stars joined him in performing on a cruise. Now the group performs such songs as "Trekkie Deckie", "Red Shirt Boogie Blues" and "Enterprising On." Armstrong sings lead vocals and still plays the ukulele, while Biggs and Rankin sing backup vocals and play guitar and mandolin respectively. Moore plays electric guitar, Jones provides percussion and Herd plays the kazoo. The Galileo 7 convention will host the first European performance of The Enterprise Blues Band. Fans can expect to hear "Traveling Through Space" and "Get Me to the Holodeck" among other songs at the German gathering this fall, where guests William Shatner (Kirk) and Michael Dorn (Worf) will also appear.
