For all of you in the Baltimore area, here's a reminder that Shore Leave 27 is coming soon.

 

There is a name familiar to STF members at this year's Shore Leave. Many months ago, David R. George III was a guest at a chat here in which he discussed his books with our members. Since then, you have probably seen him visiting the boards quite frequently. Now here's your chance to meet him in person.

I just got back from Shore Leave. I didn't see David R George though.I know he was there but he wasn't mentioned on the schedule of events I had.

Heres a cool factoid for you all. When I was sitting in on the New Voyages group discussion, the guy from the group said that when the Enterprise people were making their Defiant bridge for the Mirror episodes, they didn't have time to make that scanner that comes out of the console at the navigation console. They called up the New Voyages group out of the blue and asked if they would remove their scanner from their bridge set and let them borrow it for the episode.So that scanner is the same one you see in the New Voyages episodes. They also borrowed the green Captain's TOS shirt from them for Bacula to wear.

Oh the guys from star trek new voyages I got to know them well... well not all of them lol James cawley was down here in MS he is doing Elvis tribute at a casino and really got to know him, really a great guy and miss him not being here. He also told me about the scanner being loan to the guys for Enterprise, if you ever see james talk to him he is a great guy to talk to and has alot of storys to tell lol.
