HRH The KING 0 Posted June 3, 2005 I tend to ignore this episode, placing it in the "White Elephant" catagory along with various other things from the Star Trek universe. I know it's been said that the Trill have two distinct species of Host, I'm afraid I just don't accept that. It is however an interesting episode. BTW- Crusher rejects Odan when "he" moves into a female host body, not because of alleged bigoted viewpoints, but rather because she can't accept that ever so often, this person she loves may change so drastically. Besides, under the Trill law against Reassociation, Odan would not have been allowed to continue the relationship with her. Rating = 1, but as far as I'm concerned, this episode is null and void and simply does not exist.
sea trooper 0 Posted August 6, 2005 The introduction of the Trill, one of my favorite species in Trek. Though their origin started out sloppy in this episode, it really got together in DS9. I mean, Riker being a temporary host for the worm and then his personality being completely suppressed by it, not so. Though like I said earlier, this was the Trill "rough draft" and I am very pleased with the final results: A 3 for this episode and a 3000 for Jadzia
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted January 5, 2008 4. While I'm not too familiar with the Trill, I thought this was a really good episode. Fascinating. I don't think it really speaks badly of Beverly even if she did lose attraction because the new host was female. But this was a good episode.
