I hope that what looks like what is going to happen to Jessica will be a huge wake-up call for Paloma.

THIS IS WHAT PASSIONS IS ALL ABOUT FOR PEOPLE WHO MAY NOT KNOW .

Welcome to the town of Harmony, the deceptively picturesque New England town and principal site of “Passions.” On its quaint, well-scrubbed surface, Harmony looks like an idyllic New England town, but this is no ordinary place. “Passions” explores the lives, loves and losses of four core families who reside in Harmony: the Cranes, the Lopez-Fitzgeralds, the Bennetts and the Russells, each of whom have their own distinct and diverse personalities.

The wealthy Cranes, under the helm of patriarch Alistair and his bumbling, immoral son Julian, rule the town. Despite the difference in their economic status, the lives of the Cranes are constantly intertwined with the working class Lopez-Fitzgeralds, a Latino-Irish family held together by the hard-working Pilar. Not only has Pilar been the Crane family housekeeper for years, but two of her sons, Luis and Antonio, are deeply in love with the beautiful Sheridan Crane. And then, there’s her daughter Theresa, who always dreamed of becoming Mrs. Ethan Crane, but wound up accidentally married to Julian!

Of course Ethan turned out not be a Crane after all – his mother Ivy had lied to him for years, never telling him that his real father is Harmony’s chief of police Sam Bennett. Chief Bennett and his sweet amnesiac wife Grace Bennett have three children together—Noah, the scheming Kay, and Jessica. They are also the guardians of Grace’s niece, Charity, a teenage girl with powers of goodness who is deeply in love with Pilar’s youngest son, Miguel.

Sam and Grace’s best friends are Eve and TC Russell. The Russells are an African American family with a strong presence in the community—TC is the high school athletic coach and Eve is a respected physician. Their eldest daughter Whitney is an up-and-coming tennis player while younger daughter Simone struggles to come out of her sister’s shadow. Both sisters are in love with aspiring musician Chad Harris, but Chad only has eyes for Whitney.

And let’s not forget 300 year-old witch Tabitha Lenox! Tabitha is constantly causing mischief and mayhem for all of the good folks of Harmony.

“Passions,” the creation of celebrated daytime drama veteran James E. Reilly, has revolutionized the daytime genre with unparalleled ratings growth, ground-breaking special effects and critical acclaim from TV Guide (Best Soap 1999 and 2000), Entertainment Weekly ("...comedy, drama, camp classic, soap send up, 'Passions' works."), and USA Today ("...has a gift for head-turning plots."). Reilly is considered by many to be one of the most innovative and prolific writers of the genre. Throughout his career he has created some of the most talked-about storytelling in daytime drama, including characters that have been buried alive or possessed!

“Passions” is produced by NBC Studios in association Outpost Farms Productions, Inc. and is taped in Studio City, California. Lisa de Cazotte is the executive producer.
