Jack_Bauer 1 Posted January 13, 2005 I haven't been into Stargate SG-1 all that long but I noticed that a large number of Stargate episodes share their names with Star Trek episodes. I'm not accusing either side from stealing names since some Star Trek episodes aired before the Stargate episode of the same name and vice versa. I just thought this was really cool. Check it out: the list below states the name of the Stargate episode and it brackets the Star Trek series that contains the similarly named episode Stargate SG-1 Season 1 -The Enemy Within (TOS) (a MacGyver ep has the same name) -Bloodlines (TNG) -Singularity (ENT) Season 2 -Message in a Bottle (VGR) -Family (TNG) -A Matter of Time (TNG) Season 3 -Legacy (TNG) -Learning Curve (VGR) -Rules of Engagement (DS9) -Shades of Grey (TNG) -New Ground (TNG) -Nemesis (VGR) Season 5 -Threshold (VGR) -Proving Ground (TNG) -Meridian (DS9) Season 6 -Redemption Parts I & II (TNG) -Descent (TNG) -Allegiance (TNG) -Unnatural Selection (TNG) -Metamorphisis (TOS) -The Changeling (TOS) -Prophecy (VGR) -Paradise Lost (DS9) Season 7 -Birthright (TNG) -Evolution (TNG) -Chimera (DS9) -Resurrection (DS9) Season 8 -Zero Hour (ENT) -Covenant (DS9) -Endgame (VGR) Stargate Atlantis Season 1 -Home (ENT) -Sanctuary (DS9) -The Gift (VGR) Personally, I think this is pretty cool. Most of the names are general terms so there's no infringement by either side. I posted this because I thought people might find it interesting.
