VaBeachGuy 12 Posted December 30, 2004 It's hard to believe there's actually still snow on the ground. Usually it's gone within a day or so.
Odie 0 Posted December 30, 2004 You call that a blizzard. Hmmm.... Try living in Buffalo. I would still have to go school in that amount of snow. Well, Buffalo has the equipment to handle the snow. Click For Spoiler I wish I was there. I would making snow families and having snowball fights with my family and friends.

VaBeachGuy 12 Posted December 30, 2004 Down here they close schools for an eight of an inch of snow, that's not an exaggeration either. They literally close down the schools.
Rivendells_king 0 Posted December 30, 2004 Up here in the land of bovine domesticus's we had 6 inchs fall in 1-2 hours. Only thing school did was cancel all after school events. None of the roads could be plowed because the snow would just keep on falling and we had school the next day. And it was not fun driving home I did a 180 on a turn going 23 MPH
Odie 0 Posted December 30, 2004 It will take over 3 ft of snow before the schools will close. The reason for closing is that plows no long can handle that much snow all at once.

They literally close down the schools. 293450[/snapback] We have very little snow, maybe two inches. Lately, the problem has been freezing rain, or sometimes melting snow in the day, then freezing in the overnight. I already fell on the steps due to ^^^ ! Jack_Bauer 1 Posted December 30, 2004 We got 25-35 cm (about a foot) in a 24 hour period last week. I had to go to school for an exam at 9 am two days before Christmas. Granted, not all of the snow had fallen by then. I don't mind. It's worth it to live in the country that I love.
