Mike 5 Posted October 24, 2004 I thought it was so cool to see Trip give the the Vulcan Peace salute to T'Pol's mother as a greeting. But I got to thinking about it. When did he learn that ? T'Pol must have shown him..But when ? We certainly didn't see that lesson..In fact I don't believe that we have ever seen T'Pol give that greeting..Have we ? Kyra_Ashleigh 0 Posted October 24, 2004 I would guess that since humans have had a certain amount of exposure to the Vulcan culture prior to the Enterprise show, that it may be common knowledge, or taught to Starfleet personnel in the interest of cultural relations. After all, the Vulcans in First Contact greeted Cochrane with their salute. I believe I have seen it on Enterprise previously as well, but can't place which ep it was. Mike 5 Posted October 24, 2004 You're probably right Kyra..It's just that I believe it's the first time we've seen a human give that sign on Enterprise..And I was surprised by it..But I did like it..
LoveMalePecs1 0 Posted October 24, 2004 I also liked it when Trip did the Vulcan Peace Salute it pleasantly surprised me how easily Trip was able to do it out of respect for Tpols mom ("I can also do the Vulcan Peace Salute also quite easily as well") :P
