master_q 0 Posted August 5, 2004 The James Doohan Farewell Star TrekTM Convention & Tribute August 27th-30th 2004 - at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel This convention will be Jimmy Doohan's final public appearance. The classic Star Trek cast will be joining James Doohanr in his final farewell. "Calling all Trekkers! Calling all Trekkers!" We would like to thank all the fans that sent in stories and photos about Jimmy. At the Beam Me Up Scotty show, Jimmy and his family will be presented with a memory book from the fans. Because of all the wonderful stories and photos that you the fans sent in, the book is now completely full. However, we still have fans that want to send in stories and photos. So please continue to send in any personal stories that you have of Jimmy from past conventions or Star Trek/Sci-Fi events. Especially if you were inspired by Scotty on STAR TREK to pursue a career as an engineer, scientist, teacher, or even as, gasp, an actor...write it up and send it to us! Stories can be emailed to startrekfan16@aol.com. Even though the stories and photos won't be in the memory book, all stories and photos will be given to Jimmy and his family at the show. We want to again thank all you wonderful fans for such a great response.
