29th century travel differences

Just because in the 29 and 31st centuries people have perfected time travel capabilities, does it necessarily mean that they have equally advanced space travel?

 

Take 7 Days for example, they can travel back a week but travel into space is still (for humans at least) limited to orbiting the earth. I think travel outside our galaxy will still be a relatively rare thing during these time periods, what do you think?
