Nemesis DVD Menus

Elaborate menus for DVDs have become standard for most high-profile releases and the new screens for Paramount Home Entertainment's May 20 release of "Star Trek Nemesis" are no exception. Produced by 1K Studios, the menus feature high-quality digital images of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E, the Scimitar and more.

In case you're wondering how this all works, SFX specialists Digital Domain, who worked on the digital effects for the film, supplied 1K Studios with the 3-D models of the various ships, which were in turn painted, animated and then composited into the various sections of the DVD menus. What it amounts to is a fun, interactive experience for the DVD user.

STARTREK.COM brings you an exclusive early peek at what you'll see when you pop this DVD into your player.

The DVD of "Star Trek Nemesis" will be released on May 20 and features seven deleted scenes, along with director Stuart Baird's commentary. You can pre-order your copy today by clicking the first link below.
