I'm gonna take a guess and say that Shatner was a guest on the daytime talk show On-Air With Ryan Seacrest (also a radio dj and the host of American Idol).

 

If that's right, I had no idea he was going to be on the show.

I saw an ad for it, but missed it. As for Ryan Seacrest, AI has really made him a popular celebrity. I guess as a fan of AI, he isn't that bad and his show is not that bad either.
