Fanzines?

Recommended Posts

I've recently come across a couple of old school (late 80s, early 90s) fanzines based around Star Trek and a couple of other things. Some of the publications that've come up with seem pretty cool as they accept submissions in regards to fan art, fan fiction and stuff like that.

Does anyone know if there are any active Trek fanzines still in hard copy format that are still going? Or has that era died for good?

And for that matter, if anyone knows of any, are there any fanzines out there still that are Data-friendly?:o

Try Fanfiction.  The web site is current.

True, but it's not what I'm looking for at all. I'm talking about HARD COPY fanzines as opposed to websites with fan fiction on them. I've done an extensive search and I can't find any that are still in print!

I wish I could help you. :roflmao: I have yet to find recent publicans. The reason for this, I am not completely sure, is that Paramount and Vicom had them shut down.

overload,

I'm not sure if fanzines are still around, but I've seen books by a fellow named Dr. Wertham about comic books and violence (much like video games today). "Seduction of the Innocent" is one and he has one called "Fanzines" also. I think I have a copy upstairs if you want me to look for any specific information. Let me know.
