Guest trekwriter Posted April 2, 2004 Ladies & Gentleman, I am currently in talks with an independent film studio concerning a possible new Star Trek series that is currently looking for staff writers. They have asked me to utilize my contacts to see if there are any writers out there who may be interested in submitting ideas for possible acceptance and/or working on this project. If you are interested, please e-mail me for information at msickle@firstwash.com. Respectfully, Mark Sickle
Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted April 3, 2004 STAR TREK is copyrighted and owned by Paramount Pictures. I smell a lawsuit coming...

VaBeachGuy 12 Posted April 3, 2004 The Franchise doesn't accept outside scripts, and as has been stated Star Trek is a copyrighted property. I don't believe TPTB would allow a 'commercial product' to be produced if it violates their copyright.
WEAREBORG4102 0 Posted April 3, 2004 B&B are arrogant so they just don't want better scripts from us fans....
Takara_Soong 4 Posted April 3, 2004 B&B are arrogant so they just don't want better scripts from us fans.... The policy has nothing to do with B&B. Lawsuits brought against studios by people who claimed their ideas were stolen is the reason why studios won't accept unsolicited scripts. If you want to submit a script you need an agent and go through certain channels. If you just mail it to them it will be returned unopened.
