Even though it has been awhile since anyone has replied to this thread, I, too, agree with icanreadyourmind.

 

I preferred the 2nd one over-all, for its neat alternative future to TOS where the Gorn Hegemony is highest power in that section of the galaxy...

 

Just a note to people who have yet to read The Janus Gate books...

The back-cover of any of the three book's summaries are totally doubleplus-unlike what the books are actually about. :b-day:

 

They are quite good, taking place after the episode: "The Naked Time", but someone seemed to have made a mistake in putting up a different summary for the back of the novel. :)
