Yeah I had a feeling Data didn't say he was from New Orleans. What you posted is correct.
-
I speak french. I don't recall him using contractions. If my memory serves me correctly he said in the poker bar:
"Alors, nous sommes presque frères. Je suis née à la New Orleons."
Which means: "So we are basically brothers. I was born in New Orleans."
I may be mistaken and will need to watch the episode again. I suspect you may be right though.

2 things I didn't like:
1- Riker punches the captor to create a distration. You'd think the captor would just kill him.
2- With one of the guys on the ground after Riker punches him you mean to tell me that Data couldnot have taken the other one out? Heck Data could have taken both captors out alone if he had to. Why bother with the whole visor thing?
Still, it was a great episode.

I think it was silly to not use the virus. Stelfan I agree with everything you say but the reality of nature is survival of the fittest. The Borg will attempt to destroy the federation no matter what. If you choose to be destroyed because morality didn't let you kill your enemy what good is that? Picard is sworn to protect federation citizens no matter what. If his concience gets in the way of his sowrn duty he needs to step down as captain.
I think that's why Admiral Netchev always hated Picard. I would have to agree with her.

There are on Earth and in the pond of goo life is starting which leads to humans down the road. Why would there be other species?

I heard Enterprise is about to be cancelled anyway.

Season 7 just keep getting better and better.
-
"My name is Mott, I'm the barber" lol - Starship mine

Pretty general question. Everyone will have a different opinion.
I'm going to say when they save the federation from the Borg.
-
And I have no problem with Paramount trying to make money. If they money it means more Trek!!!
-
Using the Titan with one or two familiars would be as good, if not better, the TNG. I just want a series with a ship, in the present, and close to home lol. In other words a NORMAL series.

Interesting find. Perhaps the turbolift goes one floor higher for maintenance or something. The turbolift could also have been jolted up during the impact just as Ro was getting to the bridge.

No, sorry.

Captain Jeleco took the fish out lol.

I'm surprised by most of your favourite episodes. Fistful of Datas but alright but not great.
My fav are (in order):
Best of Both Worlds
Chain of Command
The Pegasus
Yesterday's Enterprise
Relics
The Chase
Redemption
The Defector
Schisms
Booby Trap
Paralells
Lower Decks
Time's Arrow
The Wounded
-
How was Relics funny? I think the only funny line was when Scotty told the holodeck to give him the bridge of the Enterprise NCC1701 "no bloody A, B, C or D" lol.
Other than that I found it fairly serious.

He's probably still chilling on the planet.
I'm more interested in the alien that was living alone on a planet who had exterminated an entire species that killed his wife. I forget the episode but this guy was pretty much rivaled Q.
Sorry for the hijack.

Loved it. It was great. They did a good job choosing the actor to play Jeleco. I liked seing Troi in uniform and Data in a red uniform.
BTW, what was the point of the whole four-lights thing? I never understood why he kept asking. I also don't understand why Picard tells Troi he thought he might have been able to see five lights at the end.

After a year or so of watching the seasons in order since they started comming out on DVD, I'm on season 7 and last night I watched "Attached". The story was incredible and I was happpy to see Picard sharing his real feelings for beverly. I had only seen this episode when it came out on tv in 1994 so I was pleasantly surprised again. There are many episodes that I either forgot about or had only seen once before. I also thought Beverly was quite attractive in the show (a little sexier than usual).

After Data's nightmares, he is talking to Troi and mentions his dreams were "unsettling". This implies emotion. An android cannot be unsettled or disturbed. Also, when he gives Spot to Worf (a classic scene by the way) he says "you must tell him he is a pretty cat...and a good cat" lol. This was great even though it was perhaps a little far-fetched for the emotionless android.

It takes about 2 years to make a movie so should we be expecting the next TNG movie by early 2005 or will they drag their feet like last time and stretch it to 4 years? In the trailor to Nemesis they said it was the final journey. Do you think it's over for TNG?
-
It was definitly an excellent episode. Releasing him to fight the Cardasians presents a dilema. How would you feel if your captain was just released from the slammer? I'm not sure if he would be fit to command a Federation vessel ever again.
-
Are we supposed to choose the episode Riker was best in or the episode that we liked the best that happened to be a Riker episode? I don't really care about the acting. I watch Trek for the story.
Given that I'd say The Pegasus wins hands down. The Enterprise had a phase-cloak. You can't get much cooler than that. The second best one was Schisms because is really gave you an erie feel when they re-created the room on the holodeck. It was fantastic. He did act well in Frame of Mind but there was too much confusion. I'd say that one was thrid best.

Season one???????WTF?
How come that seaosn has any votes at all? It was the worst excuse for a season ever. I litterally had to force myself to watch those episodes for the sake of order. The uniforms were garbage, Q was unrealistic, the graphics and music were awful the conn and ops seats are like reclined Lazy-Boys, Wrof and Geordi are in the wrong positions and the storylines were terrible.
The order from good to bad should be like this:
7,6,5,4,3,2,1.

Robocop did shoot him lol.
