"Pocket Books executive editor John Ordover this week announced plans for a 12-book Star Trek: The Next Generation novel series next year."In 2004 there will be a TNG book every month in which the books both resolve within themselves and also tell the continuing story of what happened to bring the crew to where they are at the beginning of Nemesis," Ordover wrote at the TrekBBS.
Over at the Psi Phi Book Database, Ordover announced the titles of the first six novels, which are taken from the Book of Ecclesiastes:
-
February: A Time to be Born
-
March: A Time to Die
-
April: A Time to Sow
-
May: A Time to Harvest
-
June: A Time to Love
-
July: A Time to Hate
Each pair of books, such as A Time to be Born and A Time to Die, will be "strongly interconnected", Ordover said. However, the duologies can be read as a standalone tale without a need to know the other events in the series. The authors involved and the storylines for each novel have not yet been announced."

Minutes ago,(10:48am,4/09/03) Marines pulled down the largest statue of saddam in the heart of the city of Baghdad!Scores of Iraqi civilians stood by, cheering and throwing their shoes (Showing the soles of your shoes is considered the greatest insult to an enemy in the Arab world.) at the fallen statue while as many as could fit atop the effigy of the fallen dictator, danced merrily.
I am thrilled! Oppression is ending. God Bless the Iraqi people!

After spending over 20 years at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Patrick Stewart set out on a journey to Hollywood, in search of a new career path. Here the unknown British actor would become the next Captain of the Starship Enterprise. This would be one of the most lucrative career decisions he ever made. This profile includes interviews with family and friends, such as actors Ben Kingsley, Trevor Nunn, Hugh Jackman, and Jonathan Frakes.

Oh that is so neet -
With all of the Data fans on this site I was wondering what everyone thought of Data's Emotion Chip in Star Trek Generations. Is he better with it or with out it? I thought that it was a great way to expand on his character and I'm a bit miffed that the writers haven't given it much thought since Generations. Emotion was the main thing that Data had longed for since the very first episode and once he had it the writers just seemed to have swept it under the rug. In First Contact he was able to switch the chip on and off, in Insurrection he had left it on the Enterprise, and in Nemesis it was never even mentioned. I almost wonder about the end of Nemesis though. Did he not almost seem sad when he said "Goodbye"? Just a thought...I think Data realy got some use out of it in the movie "First Contact" and now I think he is getting better at useing it ensted of the other way around

Fistful of Datas is on TNN's bonus Treks tonight. I really love this episode. Worf in western wear is worth it alone. As usual Brent Spiner was amazing playing so many different characters on the holodeck. The look on Worf's face when the Data barmaid was coming and well just the Data barmaid was so funny. Having Data's program corrupted by the old west program was hysterical. Data telling Spot to "vamoose ya little varmit" or saying howdy commander. Gosh what a classic fun episode. I really loved the touch of having the Enterprise "riding" off to the sunset at the end. Really nice touch. Patrick Stewart did a great job directing the episode. I'm really babbling here.
What do you think of this episode?
I agree it was a good one, but how did he rember wich part he was playing and what outfit to be wereing?

wow - this is a bit different to the corporate site !Bill always has been a bit outspoken hasn't he ?
i can sympathise though - if the shows don't regain more of the momemtum they once had, they are in danger of simply fading away. :)
Yes he dose have a ego, as big as the grand canon. but a heart as big as the Univirse

In the crew bios for Riker and Laforge it indicates that Geordi is actually OLDER than Riker by a few months. They graduated the same year from the Academy. I wonder why they didn't know each other when they were both assigned to the Enterprise?Becase I think they were in difrent filds of learnig.
And that is why Riker and Laforge never met. what do you think?

=Lessa_Soong,Mar 24 2003, 07:34 AM] This was talked about on the other board the other day and go me to thinking. What do you all think. Was Lore evil, maladjusted, just mean or selfish?I thought he was an ego on feet, but not really evil.
Was Lore evil, maladjusted, just mean or selfish? That is a good question but I thinnk he just never had the friends that Data had and so he was allwasys doing the wrong things

I agree with Klingonmike & Xeroc , that  Saddam is not disarming. He is just delaying the war as long as possible to prepare for the war. It is a trick he has a sick plan to hurt the US -
