    i am new commer in the world of star trek so i want information regarding star trek history and its present and future. also about the movies which came almost ten of them now. i need on that one also. also aliens, species, ships, weapons. the cast and crew of the series the creator of the series. what is the whole story behind this saga where can i find full information. also a full articles regarding the whole story of star trek.

    December 05, 2003 - Many fans may point to the loss of Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek, as a leading factor in the franchise's decline. As a visionary and a captain, his shoes at Paramount may never be filled; however, the decision-makers behind Enterprise and the ongoing Star Trek films may bring on another Roddenberry to address some of their most pressing problems.

     

     

    Eugene W. Roddenberry, one of Gene Roddenberry's sons, tells Sy Fy Portal that he is in negotiations to become an official representative of Viacom-Paramount. If the deal is made, Eugene would serve as a conduit and liaison between the studio and the franchise's fans. It is hoped that Roddenberry Junior might heal the rift between Star Trek's producers and the once-devoted viewers who have become disenfranchised and disinterested in recent years.

     

    Roddenberry, who has long had an online Trek-related presence through his online store, says the negotiations are part of the reworking of the Roddenberry family's merchandise deal. It's not clear yet how much influence – if any – with Star Trek's producers Roddenberry would have.

     

    Could this be a sign that Viacom-Paramount is finally addressing their own unwillingness and inability to make a product that fans want to watch? Does it mean that the studio is willing to do less dictating and more creating? Roddenberry seems to think it's possible.

     

    "People always ask me if I know what [star Trek executive producer] Rick Berman is doing, because people think I have him on speed dial," Roddenberry said. "Paramount could be listening to me on how to get the fans more involved, and how to not keep pissing them off. We could help make Paramount more user friendly. It's a waste of time and money for them to be the evil empire.

     

    "I think they're open to some new ideas. They don't have to let the cat out of the bag on everything, but it is OK to leak a few things here and there, and strategize. It might be a bit more of a pipe dream, but the door is open. Negotiations are being done, and they seem willing to use my connection to the audience and the fans for good."

     

    Producer Rick Berman is more and more the man that fans point fingers at when they criticize the decline of their favorite sci-fi franchise. Longtime Trek writer Ron Moore told IGN Filmforce in an exclusive interview this week how Berman's hold and control over the franchise was beginning to grow even while Roddenberry was still alive, back in the heady days of The Next Generation.

    IGNFF: When you talk about the rise of Rick's influence in the show, and the transition from Gene to Rick, these "rules" that pop up seem quite arbitrary…

     

    MOORE: Well, we certainly felt that they were, at times. I remember when we started, Rick had a rule that he said was Gene's rule – and I don't know that it really was…

     

    IGNFF: But he could claim anything by that point.

     

    MOORE: Yeah. Rick's rule was that you couldn't mention Kirk or Spock, in any context. Their names were not allowed to be mentioned. And it got to the point where – Ira probably told you this story – where he and I were working on "Sarek" in Season 3, and Sarek is doing this whole mindmeld thing with Picard, and we're dealing with his life and his mental well-being, and to an extent his emotional well-being. And how can you not mention Spock? And Rick was like, "No. You can't mention his name." ... It was absurd. And years later, this came up in some context with Rick, and Rick just looked at us like, "I never said that. Did I? Did I ever have that rule? I don't know why I had that rule." But it didn't matter anymore.

    Friction between Berman and the writers became more and more frequent as TNG wrapped up and Deep Space Nine took up the Star Trek torch. The writing staff frequently ended up lying to Berman and and going behind his back just to make a product they were happy with.

     

    Every series since TNG has slid in popularity and ratings, with Enterprise experiencing a serious case of doldrums. Last week's Thanksgiving episode was one of the least watched Star Trek episode ever.

     

    Will getting in touch with the fans rejuvenate Star Trek? Eugene Roddenberry is willing to give it a shot, if Paramount is.

    you have stolen words out of my mouth you are absolutely right Q is definately and ultimately one of those flawless character which challanges the minds of human species which always seems to be so hard and always very dangerous. likely the solution to the problem is so simple and yet we look the whole universe for the answer and the answer is infront of it. Q is always one of those Entity which brings such wonderful challanges to human life and Question the True Nature of Universe.

    Q is one of those character who really brings really the real challanges to TNG crew as he was in the starting episode and in the last episode of the TNG generation series. Q is bring those ultimate formidable challanges and situation which TNG crew always seeks to explore. as we all know the introduction to borg. which almost made captain to beg for Q help and in the last episode Q challanges the very nature of temporal prime directives and gives the crew the chance to understand the true meaning of universe by giving the theory of "PARADOX". not only that the comic, the intrigue and mystery comes from the Q is impecable. so i totally agree that he Should be given a chance in the next movie and please do that also because in whole next generation their is not single movie on Q. not only that as you all remember Q told picard in the last episode THE TRIAL HAS NOT ENDED in all the good things episode. finally he is also a good friend of Commander Data who saved his life once. he can also play a role in bringing him back.i am going to say these word in Last ---- its Q TO RESCUE :-). what are you view regarding this please enlighten Us. show he given a chance in the next movie.

    i would like to several things in the next movie that is it should be a mixed cast or crew or may it should be totally new crew like crew from the novel star trek : new frontier. i would also like to see a new ship that is may Enterprise F or a Some Experimental Ship Like Discovery, Voyager A or B, Universe or Enterprise F. not only that if they could give Q a role that would be great to see.

    thanks for the feedback.

     

    first thing first. yes you are right Enterprise E is not distroyed it was NEARLY DISTROYED. i forgot to use the word NEARLY word. sorry for that.

     

    Voyager A hmmmm well i think fans want to see the crew members with their ships. but if janeaways is comming back to command a fleet of ships she must be given the chance to command the voyager again which got her through so much. as in the earlier movie that is in the original series refitted Enterprise A is used by Original Crew to Face Perils of Universe. i think a refitted voyager would be very much good to see in the movie.

     

    Worph and Worf hmm conflicting point i think i have been on that note so many time that now i am confused. but i thing it is because of american british language accent. may be my assumption is wrong

     

    well about captain sisko hmmmmmmmm well they never explained the presence of wesley crusher in the movie nemesis. as you all know wesley went with the strange travller who has the power to travel through time and space and defy demension. and was under his guidance and trainning. but how did he came back of starfleet is still unknown. but if you want to know what happend after dominion war well you can read the novel with the star trek :: PHROPHECY and CHAGE and STAR TREK :: UNITY. which answer some of the answer regarding your question about sisko being their.

     

    well when data experimented with generating offspring of himself that his daughter. which sadly did also survived the process. but still he provided the valuable data for making posotronic neuro net and his body in the starfleet database. secondly i dont think so EMH is disabled for this read the new STAR TREK :: VOYAGER NOVEL the homecomming and the further shore. and as always on such a mission which requires a great instinct an enemy which far beyond federation expectation. EMH can also play a role both as exploring the AI Ship as suggested in the story or similar role or doctor to help crew in times of trouble.

    4: star trek :: elite force or genesis force (as you know it is also a very good game with good storyline and good Character name Alex munuro. not only that Captain Picard has Played role in the Second Series of the ELITE FORCE GAME in Order to restore them when their first mission is Over on the voyager when it came home. their is also a talk of a Force in the Book which is Out Now the 4th Book in the Series of the Genesis Wave know as the Genesis Force. in which when the encounter in the third book in the genesis wave series the project genesis was distroyed and left the whole sectors in the universe into a prewarp stage coloneis in different making star trek elite task force to patrol the region in order to counter the threats from the other advanced species who out their to conquer starfleet formed an elite genesis force in order to keep them away threathing the lives of not so technological advance species..it could also be the point for exploring wa wonderful idea of bringing back new thrills and adventure action drama and comdey into this series.)

    i would prefer a crossover movie mostly. ;)

     

    Movie Name Could Be STAR TREK :: KILLER INSTINCT

     

    the chain events could begin like this with 6 months have passed by after that dreadful chain of events with the TNG crew which lead to the departure of commander data. and nearly on the edge captain picard of destroyed Enterprise E and still Under Repair and Testing going on Recieves Order by starfleet command section 31 to join the active duty immediately. at the meeting picard was glad very much surprised to see other handpicked starfleet captain and admiral that is Captain William Riker, Captain Benjamin Sisko and Admiral Janewayy. During the Briefing Seven of Nine Briefed A Month back Starfleet Command "PathFinder 2" Accidentaly Picked Up a Deep Spacial Anomoly. For which starfleet send a deep space one is a science ship. which send back information before it was distroyed. also three romulan and 2 two klingons and three cardassian ships have already have been distroyed. the two remaining ship have survived the spacial anomoly one is a vaulcan ship and another ship is USS Titan. the information was not much but it detected a space ship bigger than that of a planet from the information we can gather is that the ship is artifical intelligent and it is regenartive and has ability cloak and defy matter. no life forms has been detected yet. the ship is abondanded. so question is why is it here ? from where it is ? is it from the present or from the past or from the future civilization ? what is the. with the loss of several species in order to control this ship starfleet has decided to send a fleet of ship to study the mystery behind the ship. the control center will be handled and commanded by Deep Space Nine Crew your job is to keep a look out that full logistic support in order to perform this task. the other will include you captain picard(USS Enterprise F) and captain riker (USS Titan). both of you will report to first in command ship that is (USS Voyager A) by Admiral janeway. also with the danger of different species trying to reach and harvest the technology regarding to this situation starfleet has assembled small ships of ELITE FORCE on USS defiant which will be commanded by Commander Worph. Starfleet has reinstate me to lead a team of expert I would Be Going Inside the Ship to Investigate the phenomena behind it. one thing also i will be accomplained a very unusual member for my backup if in any situation anything happens me or my team starfleet S.C.E Division Thinks That inorder to counter the threat of AI ship we must activate B4. as he is only Full Function AI Person To Counter the Threat in case of an Emergency.
