  1. i liked this episode alot. the only thing that kinda irked me was, what happened to the report that Kes wrote about the Krennim?(sp?)

I know they could alter time by eliminating a species but to my way of thinking in order for the report to not have existed was to eliminate the ocampa race(therefore no Kes), and i don't think they had anthing to do with anorak's mission of total restoration.

this got me irked b/c in the episode where kes was jumping through time, they made such a big deal about the krennim that it seemed totally stupid to forget what kes had learned when they finally did encounter this race.

just wanted to get his off my chest..

  2. This is awsome! :) You have some serious talent! :)

Keep writing, I want to find out what happens.  You should post it at fanfiction.net

Thanks! I really appreciate your comment. :)

I've updated the story. heres the link again:

    Updated story

Please feel free to critique it to heck or give me comments... its only way i can improve on my writing skills.

  3. I think if the book "Homecoming" is as good as it looks, Paramount should look into making a movie out of it. Or if not that book, just make a movie about what happens to Voyager once they return to earth. Track the characters for a little while, show what each did and how things were handled after being away so long. Then some form of "hysteria" breaks out, but thats for the writers to figure out. I just think it would be a good idea.

funny you should mention some sort of hysteria breaks out. in the second book, the borg nano virus comes into play. :martok:

  4. i enjoyed endgame as well, and was one of those people who wanted them to make it home. but like you i also had a lot of questions. but if you wait for the upcoming voyager book, titled "Homecoming" it will answer all of your questions. on the simon and schuster website: http://www.simonsays.com you can read a chapter 1 excerpt from the book. it tells us that all the maquis will be given a general pardon providing they return to starfleet. they put up the entire chapter for us to read, so take a look and alot of questions are answered in that one short teaser from the book..

  5. you should read:

    1. Avatar (two book series)

    2. Gateways the DS9 books anyways

(not sure if this actually is part of the relaunch it since it spans all the series. but in the next DS9 books there are brief references about what went on in gateways. i myself didn't get this multibook story b/c its like 6+ books in all, and i don't have that kind of money!! i don't think you need to read them since it doesn't have any links to the rest of the books)

    3. Mission:Gamma (4 book set)

    4. Rising son (1 book all about jake sisko)

    5. Unity (not out yet, look for it late this year, but on the cover it has sisko and major kira in a starfleet uniform superimosed on the UFP logo, so you can guess what this book is about.)

after that i'm not too sure what else is comimg out next.... hehe.. get reading! and have fun, most of the books are really good.

  6. ...I’m looking in lines when TNG just went too silly.

    Master Q

    StarTrek_Master_Q@yahoo.com

a line where TNG went too far... hmm, wasn't there an episode where data started to recite:

"there once was a girl from venus,

whose body was shaped like a..."

then was cut off by someone?? i think it was an early episode... i think... either that or i am thinking of soemthing else and i've just made a fool of myself... :innocent:

    funny, but a bit much??

  7. I'm actually one of those people who never understood why harry was never promoted. given all the crap he had to endure...just to put things into perspetive, here's a list of stuff he had to go through. (in no particular order, just whatever comes to mind)

    - taken by the caretaker and experimented on

    - gets "eaten" by a monster on the holodeck

    - almost gotten killed by an insane stasis pod AI

    - sucked through a hull breach (sure there was another harry to replace him, but he died none the less)

    - got sucked through a subspace vacuole to another planet or dimension, only to get killed as the only means of getting back to voyager

    - kidnapped, had his DNA altered, and was almost dissolved, just so that his genetic material could be extracted to make children

    - gets lost in another dimension, through a shuttle accident, where he was never part of the voyager crew

    - was taken hostage by hirogen to modify and repair voyager, while his crewmates fight in the holodeck (don't know if this is good or not...although he does end up being a hero for freeing the crew)

    - gets thrown into an alien jail and has his mind messed with, almost killing tom

    - almost dissolved by specis 8472

    - assimilated by the borg children

    - gets dupicated by the "silver blood" the real harry almost dies w/tom on the demon planet

    - gets killed again in a warp core breach, this time in a future he tries to alter b/c he and chakotay are the only two survivors after a slip-stream accident (might not count as it happened in the future, but either way harry dies AGAIN!)

    - taken hostage by the doctor who has been possesed by a murderous, sentient(?) weapon.

    - taken hostage by a xenophobic alien, when an act of sabotage fails to electocute him (the racing episode)

might have missed a few things, but with his track record of getting taken hostage, dying 3 times, getting dissolved, assimlilated or coming close to dying again... it makes you wonder what does a person have to go through to get a promotion!

not to mention his personal life: falling for a hologram, a borg, a dead ex-girlfriend, a xenophobic girl, another girl who gets him addicted to her... geez... kinda looks like he was at the butt end of some crule joke eh?? poor guy.

    anyone else have anything? :innocent:

  8. just did a search for "enterprise" in kazaa... and in the search results there was an alternate intro to enterprise... no words, just an orchestral score...the music sounds similar to something that i've heard in a ST movie..star trek generations or something like that. any one know if this was a real thing paramount considered before switching to a lyric one? just curious. it's a small file, so if you're inclined to download it, please do so..i'm interested in what your reactions are to an orchestral intro. since i know there has been a debate for the 3rd season of changing the intro.

the music is odd...now that i've gotten used to the current one.. :look:

  9. anyone interested in the events after "endgame" should probably wait for the "homecoming" series of voyager books. as for what happens to the maquis...

    Click for Spoiler:

they are given a general pardon, providing they return to starfleet. they are absolved of any wrongdoing. you can read a chapter 1 preview of the book here: http://www.simonsays.com/subs/excerpt.cfm?...isbn=074346754X

so i would say a purely voyager cast movie is out of the question since all of the loose ends that the series had are probably answered in the books. too bad eh?

and from another preview i read in another book, the borg nano virus rears it's ugly head on earth... guess they managed to get that virus to earth somehow...hope i've piqued your interest..

  10. hi guys, new memeber here... anyways, i was reading this thread, and wanted to say that there probably won't be a DS9 movie. They "re-launched" the DS9 series in book form (you guys may or may not know... ) Starting from after the events of "What you leave behind" the two book series "Avatar" picks up where the series finale left off. if anyone who hasn't read the books and wants me to post a few highlights and key events i would be glad to. thought i'd ask and not spoil the books for anyone who will be reading them.

all i will say for now, is most of the questions raised here are resolved and answered in the books following the series finale. with sisko and the fate of bajor coming in an another book being published somtime near the end of the year (november..i think)
