  1. Ah, but Cow farts contain Dangerous amounts of greenhouse gases.. should be get rid of all cows?

Anyway. on a more serious note. did anyone catch "little Ice Ages" Being into Paleontology and a general pain in the rump when it comes to general information most people would find useless.. did any other scientist note that just before an Ice age... it became rather hot? really?? anyone?? ::the climate in prehistoric times kept getting warmer and drier:: ICE age... ::prehistoric man tries to survive in an ever changing climate:: ICEAGE ::French revolution!!:: ICE AGE ::scrat tries to finally catch that nut and eat it:: ICEAGE... wait that last one is a movie....

anyway! I don't think the most danagerous part will be the heat... I think it will come when the Earth wants to recover and goes into a freeze again!! Bundle up everyone!!

  2. I caught this site being mentioned on late night TV.....but sadly cannot remember what it was called.

Gamestop or something like that.. I'm up till around 2 remember and is a TV freak... but anyway.. I'm not talking of a site to which to play on your PC.. I'm saying that if you had a Console system with internet. you'll choose your game download it into the box and play.

  3. The Market Department at Sony would be retarded if they made the system cost THAT much.. I work Retail.. and I can tell you.. Guests don't want to shell out the money for their kids for one.. and the only people who would are rich OR extreme Gamers... I say they need to make a device which connects to online you pay a small monthly fee and play several hundred games. and if you want to store them you pay for the game it stores it in a internal hard drive. OR it can have a built in DVD/CD burner which will encode special disks. wait... ::writes this down:: heheh perhaps I should build one! :eekout:

Or while trying to sing: the music of "Are You Happy Now" is playing while the lyrics to "I've Got You Under My Skin" scrolls by, while strange crackly noises happen. Either that PS2 is possessed or it is giving up the ghost... eh anyways we always end up keeping game consoles until they die completely or can be repaired in some manner.

But that is just funny... BTW I personally hope the Karoke disks are in the machine when it dies  hehehe!!

  4. And the Revolution also comes in diffrent colors according to that site..

Hey Yillara just because the Drive makes noises "CLICK CLICK CLICK" and the picture wavers some times.. doesn't mean we've killed it yet......wait... never mind I pull my last statement.. :eekout:

  5. The Cloning of things just for the fact of "HEY I DID IT!" is wrong.. the cloning to produce useable parts or repair ecosystems that we've destroyed over the years.. I don't belive that to be wrong.. if you lost a limb, eye, or other more important parts... you'd want them back right? like say.. you lost the ability to reproduce.. would you say.. naw. leave them mangled I don't want any kids? ask one lady who cannot produce children. she'd do ANYTHING most likely to have them.. to a guy.. and yes I'm a guy and not gay.. most men don't care.. it just means more action for us.. but yes even some men are upset when they cannot.. and some that lose it all together lose it in more than one way.. (both genders here..)

Anyway.. Animals for no reason, bad. Organs and other USEFUL things good.

  6. If you could unparticlize the picture and adjust the contrast a bit you can see a face.. now whether for sure this is Spock OR just a face.. or an accident.. I don't have the answer for that.. but there is a face.. it's like one of those 3D eye puzzles though.. some of it is bluging up and some down.. if you cross your eyes I bet it pops up too

  7. The list of known problems include. but are not limited to. nor saying that they truely occured just commonly heard facts..

Blue screen of Death *common to PC componets.. AKA Xbox is a PC...*

Black screen of Death *common to NT operating system.. programming glitch*

Error message in all known languages *sorry.. this one is just funny.. BTW that is all language packs inside

    the Xbox BTW*

    Fire from the power supply

    Fire from the unit

    Overheating

    System failure

Power button caving in on itself

causing communication failure to other wirless devices (BTW according to one site.. that is why all systems had to be redone with a wired controller in Retail stores.. due to a problem noted in Wal-mart *including in my home town my friend told me that the printers were all failing at Walmarts Photo lab.. and the LRT stopped working to do inventory..

    and other such dandy problems

  8. Microsoft really goofed up this sapposed "LARGEST PRODUCT LAUNCH" being that I work at a place where these units are sold.. and when they first came out we got eight.. four of each... That just plain stupid! anyway.. What are your Opinions on these units? would you buy one? any intresting stories on problems with them...

  9. *being a Farscape Fan (check out my URL if you are its to my own boards* on Farscape the Comm Badge operates a similar way.. except for some minor alterations in HOW they are created.. also since I'm a Tech geek who likes figuring things out.. I'll like to mention this.. The Comm units being discussed never SEEM to need recharging.. but since almost all things require some kind of power. including in the 24th century (next gen). I am guessing that the units recieve power by heat produced by the body. Also since this only produces a small amount of energy (less than the amount of one AAA battery) it would also require an amplification charge. AKA the Ships Communications computer. would recieve and amplify the signal. The Ship would also require a broadcast channel for planetary missions. and would be networked to all shuttle crafts. since they are connected to the computer. it would connect the user to the person or place of their choice simply by understanding (which we know that the computer does) their voice commands. and since technically they are only having the computer reroute all calls to diffrent comm devices. it requires little processing. I hope this helps. from your Neighborhood tech freak, BAKKE

I know a lot of the science behind Star Trek is fictional (obviously), and I am willing to admit that it doesn't actually exist (even though I believe it does :-) However there is one big question about the Communication Badges:

How the heck do they work?

Sometimes people tap them, sometimes they just start talking. How does the person on the other side know who they're talking to? I would assume they'd just answer "hello", or any statement saying "I'm here" because i don't see how the inital "Captain to Lt. Paris" statement would be heard on the receving side and have them answer so quickly.

I'm sure there's some sort of pattern to how they work, but I haven't been able to figure it out, so suggestions / answers would be appriciated. :-)

This also has an answer... go work at any place that uses Walkie Talkies.. like Target or Office max... most of the time they just call over and say something.. and you recognize their voice.. I doubt that the comm badges would announce "Captain" or anything.. it would be a waste of time.. since mostly you do not need to know that part..

  10. Being into Paleontology.. I think it's cool that we want to create an animal.. that perhaps we MAY have brought to it's knees... but am I the only one out there that wonder... Where are we going to put them?? we already are shrinking habitats for animals we currently have... and I'm sorry.. Mr. Fuzzy the Tusken friend is not going back home in the good old USA... I don't belive I want an Mammouth in MY birdbath.... I've already got an Elephant (Looney Tunes).

Yes I'm all for Technology.. and am one of the biggest technological freaks in my Home town.... but COME ON!! please... I wouldn't say this is a good thing! to clone an animal that were not even sure how it lived or ate.. or whatever!! JURRASSIC PARK!! remember.. it may have been Dinosaurs.. but it's still Chaos theory!!
