  1. Images of After:

    Ghost women, spirit child,

    The hollow reflection remains,

She moves through life in shadows

    Suffocating memory,

The weight that sustains her vigilance

    Terror spurts like an artery,

    Oppresive assailant shrouded in night

    Dread and apprehension, familiar companions

    That eased out jocund days

    Framed against a ticking clock,

Jagged memories tear holes in flesh anew

Like the caw of a raven, a death knell,

That pains and pulls at her reverie

    Ghost women, spirit child,

    The hollow reflection remains,

She moves through her life in shadows

The abyss of a union, absence of trust in intimacy

Proximity is but a reflex for fear

    Heart pumping, pounding maniacally,

Lips choked silent by forbidden introspection

Like liquid tremors invading the body damaged

    The incessant drip of memory,

    Enveloping,

    Relentless,

As ceaseless as the pressure of his judgment

    On her slender throat

    Running To and running From,

Illusions of hope set the pace of that silent dance

    A gossamer thread of desire,

Too fragile and thin to clasp

    Self-promises that will not purge,

From scars on the lies that scald her brain

Deny, deny the ruin filled hours

    Deny, deny the intruding reflections

Need to be safe, her ubiquitous goal

    Ghost women, spirit child,

    The hollow reflection remains

An altered state now forms her life...

    Moving in the shadows.

  2. Death of Seasons:

of late it's harder to go inside, to leave this deadspace with hatred so alive. writing with sickness, thrown into banality, i decay. killed by the weakness, but forced to return. turn it off. i watch the stars as they fall from the sky. i held a fallen star and it wept for me, dying. i feel the fallen stars encircle me now, as they cry. out there so quickly grows malignant tribes. posthuman extinction excels unrecognized. feeling surrounded, so bored with mortality, i decay. all of this hatred is scucking real. turn it on. it wont be all right despite what they say. just watch the stars tonight as they disappear, disintegrate. and i disintegrate 'cause this hate is scuking real. and i hope to shade the world as stars go out and i disintegrate.

    ...But home is nowhere:

we held hands on the last night on earth. Our mouths filled with dust, we kissed in the fields and under the trees, sreaming like dogs, bleeding dark into the leaves. It was empty on the edge of town but we knew everyone floated at the bottom of the river. So we walked through the waste where the road curved into the sea and the shattered seasons lay, and the bitter smell of burning was on you like a disease. In our cancer of passion you said, "Death is a midnight runner." The sky had come crashing down like an intimate suicide. We picked up the shards and formed them into the shapes of stars that wore like an antique wedding dress. The echoes of the past broke the hearts of the unborn as the ferris wheel silently slowed to a stop. The few insects skittered away in hopes of a better pastime. I asked you at the apex of the maelstrom and asked if you would accompany me in a quik fall. but you made me realize my ticket wasnt good enough for two. I rode alone. You said, "The cinders are falling like snow." There is poetry in despair, and we sang with unrivaled beauty, bitter elegies of savagery and eloquence. Of blue and grey. Strange, we ran down desperate streets and carved our names in the flesh of the city. The sun has stagnated somewhere beyond the rim of the horizon and the darkness is a mystery of curves and lines. Still, we lay under the emptiness and drifted slowly outward, and somewhere in the wilderness we found salvation scratched into the earth like a message.

ya ya, i no its depressing, but dont worry i'm not suicidal nor am i depressed, lol. Well thanx for lookin it over and i'm lookin forward to ur replies. L8er Sk8ers  Caitlin
