  1. I'd say Hoshi. I'd hate for an already bad situation to get worse because the Universal Translator stuffs up, plus Marauders showed she wasnt a slouch with a phase pistol. Next would be T'Pol, as she seems to not only be good with a gun, but also her fists and feet. Pulus she'd also be more respectful and knowledgable of alien customs than the others, which could help.

  2. I'd have to say Kira, then Odo. They wern't afraid to say what they felt, to occasionally question starfleets motive. 'If Starfleet isn't willing to protect their own people than the Federation is even more naieve then I already think it is!' and Odo's thing about sacrificing flowers as gifts of romance when Lwaxana had a thing for him seem good examples.

  3. Have to say the Doc. I mean all he was at the start was a simple medical program who started with 'Please state the nature of the medical emergency.' A very cut and dried character, but he has really developed. He's had relationships with women, picked up hobbies, had his 15mins of fame as a singer and had his moral and ethical dilemmas. Next would be 7 of 9 for similar reasons.

  4. Personally I wouldn't consider Q an enemy. The Duras, Romulans, Lore, the Cardassians, they really didn't like the Enterprise crew, and did their best to take them out. For the Borg, taking out the Enterprise and its crew was simply a matter of proceedure. But Q WASN'T out to destroy the Enterprise or the Federation, just trying to make them evolve, and occasionally have a bit of fun at the crew's expense. While that mightn't be very friendly, I wouldn't call it hostile.

  5. TNG is not TNG without Data!

I'd have to disagree with that statement. While Data was an integral part of TNG, It would have been reasonably easy to replace him and his part in the TNG storyline with a young Vulcan, trying hard to understand his/her human shipmates, but then again, most people would probably just complain that he/she was just a Spock retread.

  6. ENT - Too early for a movie.

While I'm not against a 'new cast' I strongly doubt they'd make a movie with a completely new cast without giving them a couple of years on the small screen, and as Cpt. Picard said, it's too early for a movie based around Enterprise

  7. I thought I'd add my two cents to this debate. If they decide to make a new movie, I'd like to see B4 in it, with no attempt to turn the prototype andriod into a new Data. On a technical level Data was more sophisticated, so unless Commander Bruce Maddox (The Measure of a Man), Admiral Anthony Haftel(The Offspring), or someone else from Starfleet's cybernetics division can upgrade him, it is unlikely that he will be as capable as Data. As far as we know, the only reliable job he could be good at doing is sweeping the ship, but I think that would be a waste.

  8. I have to admit I liked seeing the Enterprise sneeking up on Reliant in TWOK. The battles with Chang, the Duras sisters, the Scimitar, and the Son'a were close. I just love seeing the Enterprise bounce back after a severe pounding!

  9. To me, a great movie needs several things:

    1) A love story

    2) Political Intrigue

    3) A good fight scene

    4) A good twist at the end

In my mind, that makes Insurrection the best. The Picard-Anij love story is good, the Picard-Lily thing of First Contact just didn't cut it. The conspiracy, double cross, and disobeying of orders is well thought out. The revelation that the Son'a are actually reject Ba'ku is good. And of course there's the crew getting messy with the Son'a on the behalf of the Ba'ku both on planet and in space. What more could you want?

  10. In my view the Romulans are a great enemy. You can never be sure where they are thanks to cloaking devices, they always show up where you least expect them, and you can always expect a good twist or two when they're around. Witness their kidnapping of LaForge and Deanna, now that's a real enemy!
