The reason why I think voyager is set apart from all of the other star trek series is that for one this was the first and only star trek series that actually had a female captain and that they were lost in the Delta quadrant. This made the crew very much close nit. This made it it a series that had set it apart from all of the others.

I like the standalone and the arc kind of episodes. In some ways like the standalne type especially when you may have missed some of the previous episodes. in that sense you may be lost on what was going on.

I heard that Whoopie Goldberg was a fan of the original star trek. thats how she got the part of guinan in star trek the next generation.

I don't think i would want to use the transporter at all unless it was an extreme emergency. I would rather take the shuttlecraft to where ever I need to go.
