HRH The KING 0 Posted May 31, 2005 The first part of the greatest TNG episode of them all. Picard is kidnapped and assimilated by the Borg. What else do I need to say??? Excellent, brilliant, outstanding. The perfect end to a breathtaking season of TNG. Absolutely amazing. Gold Standard. Rating =
MrPsychic 1 Posted June 5, 2005 I found this episode was the best Borg episode/movie ever. The Borg were still the scariest villians out there in this episode, not the weaklings in Voyager or Borg Queenie in First Contact. The wait for the Borg had a powerful building effect, which I think climaxed with Picard saying "Send a message to the fleet...We've engaged the Borg" Also, the nebula scene was well done, with the Borg ship just stalking the Enterprise-D, and firing concussion charges into it to finally drive them out. youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted December 22, 2007 5. Shelby's character is a little annoying, but is supposed to be. Great episode. Nice cliffhanger too... just cutting/fading out after Riker says "Fire." And watching special features, I love how the writer of this episode planned to leave after giving them this Rubik's Cube of an episode, and instead, he's the one who has to figure it out. Great episode.
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted December 23, 2007 I gave it a 4. Very good ep and it was the turning point of the series imo. Elizabeth Dennehy was so good at being a know it all that Riker knew he would have to rely on her expertise in defeating the Borg and rescuing Jean-luc. Great cliffhanger moment although parts of this ep seemed a bit rushed. Still, it holds up well.
Dabo Queen 0 Posted January 18, 2008 Four from me...it needed something, and by 'something', I mean 'more Guinan, less Shelby'.
ussvwbeetle 0 Posted April 23, 2008 It was a great episode. The cliffhanger was almost unbearable though. An absolute five.
TJ Phaserman 2 Posted April 23, 2008 Four from me...it needed something, and by 'something', I mean 'more Guinan, less Shelby'. Shelby was too annoying to me. even in the "New Frontier" books, she's a overachiever. until she got killed off making the rank of admiral.
