Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted April 15, 2003 They have 2 inspection pods, and 2 shuttle pods. I've got 2 questions: 1. Does the NX-01 carry escape pods? 2. VaBeachGuy 12 Posted April 15, 2003 They never really said if it was a complete loss or if they were able to recover it. I would assume they recovered it since it would be such a major loss, with only one pod they could be forced back to Earth. That would mean they have no back-up to recover stranded crew members in the event the remaining pod is damaged or lost. They need to start perfecting the transporters. And the shuttlepod that was shoot down in Cease Fire must have been recovered, it was not that badly damaged and if i'm not mistaking it appears in later episodes, and they have hardly returned to earth to get a new one..
