trekz 7 Posted February 22, 2016 I recently saw a list of top 12 TV Westerns. In the discussion it was mentioned that Star Trek was pitched as a series as "Wagon Train" to the stars. So I wondered: What are your top 10 favorite TV Westerns?
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted February 24, 2016 Top 10? Bonanza comes to mind. The opening credits were cool. Uh... Rifleman, and his quick firing rifle. Oh, oh, duh - the one with with Matt Dillion. I think I had a kid crush on Kitty's mole. Festus getting in trouble with Doc was a hoot. I guess that one was the mold most of Trek was based on. Kor37 9 Posted February 27, 2016 Bonanza is my all-time favorite followed by The Rifleman and Wanted:Dead or Alive.
Bethlehem 7 Posted March 22, 2017 I loved them all Rawhide and the Cisco Kid would be at the top of my list.
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted March 23, 2017 As a kid, I just do remember Gunsmoke but I was only about 6 when it went off the air. Would Little House be considered a "Western"? Not that it was a favorite, I was more of a Waltnons watcher than Little House back then, and of course The Waltons wasn't a western at all.
Luvin1stdegree 0 Posted March 23, 2017 I always liked Rawhide. Clint Eastwood....need I say more?
