Vic 17 Posted January 5, 2012 Benedict Cumberbatch is the latest actor to sign up for a role in Star Trek 2. According to Variety, Cumberbatch will be playing the villain in Star Trek 2. He joins other British Trek newcomers Alice Eve and Noel Clarke. Cumberbatch is best known to British fans as Sherlock Holmes on the BBC Sherlock series, and he recently appeared in Steven Spielberg‘s War Horse, which opened on Christmas Day.
