ddillard 2 Posted November 16, 2003 I definitely plan on having a little Deanna or James running around if I ever have any children.
Florian Deenan 0 Posted November 18, 2003 Depends... I wanted to name my kids Jareth and Sarah *from Labyrinth* Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Severus *from Harry Potter* Shane, Lita, Jeff, Matt, and Shannon *from the North Carolina High Flyers* Peter, Wendy, John, Michael, Billy Jukes, and or James *from Peter Pan* Serena, Darien, and Serenity *from Sailor Moon* Adora and Adam *from He-Man and She-Ra* and now for Star Trek names! Jayden, Jean-Luc, Reginald, William, Deanna, and Alexander This must mean I'm going to have ALOT of children... um, no! Having babies hurts and last I checked, I'm not immune to pain. Madam Captain 0 Posted November 24, 2003 Hi there If I ever have children, I would consider naming them after characters in Star Trek. I think its perfectly okay to name children after heros and tv characters. In my opinion, people have every right to be able to name their children whatever they like. I love unusual names, which is why the names Kes and Jadzia appeal to me so much. I even like B'Elanna although I'm not sure if I would give that name to a child. Miral, on the other hand, is another unique name. It sounds aesthetically pleasing (if something can 'sound' that way). I guess I'm trying to say it sounds nice, without using the word 'nice'. Deanna is another great name. I wouldn't want my children to share a name with other kids at school. As for names such as Quark, Rom, Nog, Spock, Neelix, Chakotay, Worf, Seven of Nine and Odo they are just too weird. I would only use those names for pets. As much as I love unusual names, I have to draw the line somewhere.......... Linda
