*With the goalie situation the way it is in Detroit currently, it appears that Dominik Hasek will be playing the majority of games while Cujo's status is up in the air. I'll leave Cujo on the list as I am going to assume that a goalie of his stature will surely be dealt to another team soon. If he is not traded before the start of the season anyone who has chosen him will be given the option of either keeping Cujo on their team or choosing another player. If Cujo is traded after the start of the season, then he will be available to trade for.

Good luck!

Ok, I'll pick a team though I know less then nothing about Hockey

 Don't worry about it,VBG.Mr.Tinkles is as clueless as they come, concerning hockey and he will be entering a team in the pool(I'll e-mail him right after I get done here and make him post his team tonight...or else,he's apt to miss the deadline).

Just have fun.You never know, you just might get lucky.Mr.Tinkles registered a fantasy team with Yahoo and its absurd how many good players he got dealt, and has traded-up for!By comparison,my Yahoo teams are ECHL rejects! :(

NNNOOOOOOO! Not Koivu! Darn. What do I do now? (New to the hockey pool thing. lol)

Two options - you can ride it out and hope he comes back sooner or, since the season hasn't started yet, you can still change your roster.

Sorry hun. I have never been one to walk away from a dare. Especially when it only involves laughing at someone! :wow:

And if you burn my shorts, you have to buy me new ones anyhow! :(

I have to pick a Trek-related name? How about the Hockey Borg (I have been assimilated, resistance is futile, yada yada yada).

Here is the team:

Forward Group 1: Markus Naslund and Joe "Billy Bob" Thornton

Forward Group 2: Jarome Iginla and Mats Sundin (gotta like anybody named "Mats")

Defensemen: Nicklas Lidstrom, Kim Johnsson, Sergei Gonchar, and Sergei Zubov

Goalies: Martin Brodeur and MARTY TURCO

DISCLAIMER: I will take no responsibility for any mis-spelled names.

Peter Forsberg traded for Markus Naslund effective November 28, 2003.

Jeremy Roenick traded for Steve Sullivan effective February 22, 2004.

Here is the first update of the standings as of 11:00 a.m., October 11, 2003. The link will take you, I hope, to a Excel spreadsheet (I love Excel) that I have uploaded to my website. You can check out the individual player stats, all of the teams in the pool stats as well as the pool standings (not in order - still working on the sort feature and not losing my formulas).

NHL Hockey Pool

I will try to update the points daily. The NHL publishes an injury list every Monday I believe and I will post that to this forum as well. If anyone hears of an injury to one of the pool players please feel free to post it as well.

I don't have the right software installed on my computer to read the Excel spreadhseet.... :)

I had dill test the link for me and he didn't have Excel on his computer and it worked so no fear. He told me that it opened an Excel viewer for him so he could view the spreadsheet.

INJURY REPORT:

Washington center Michael Nylander (broken leg) is expected to be sidelined until at least early November.

Quark's Latinum and Riker's Rockets both have Michael Nylander on their team. Let me know if you wish to make a trade for another player in Nylander's group. Just a reminder you can make up to 3 trades per season.
