RikerChick 5 Posted July 13, 2008 I wouldn't do it myself but I certainly don't see anything wrong with it.

RikerChick 5 Posted July 13, 2008 I can see where some could view it as creepy, but IMO being buried in the ground is creepier. It's just a point of view thing. The more I think of it the more I think it's kind of a nice idea.
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted July 13, 2008 What a great alternative to keeping an urn of ashes, imo. The process is probably creepy but the result is beautiful. I'd be happy if someone who loved me, (they do exist) had me turned into a gem.
Odie 0 Posted July 13, 2008 It is not so odd than anyway we remember the died. It is like keep a small of them with you. It might feel more real than pictures.
Theunicornhunter 2 Posted July 14, 2008 To each his own I guess, personally, I think it is one of the grossest things I've ever heard - it's like wearing around the bones of your dead ancestors. I don't want to be wearing dead people around and I certainly do not want anyone wearing me around. If I need to see dead people I will content myself with a photo on the wall. He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted July 14, 2008 I'd be happy if someone who loved me, (they do exist) had me turned into a gem. More likely you will be turned into a lump of coal.
nerd359 0 Posted July 16, 2008 Bah. Things like this only matter to people who are not going to live forever.
Gabri 0 Posted July 16, 2008 I've heard of this before. I can understand how some might find this option meaningful, but personally, it just kind of creeps me out. I wouldn't want one, nor want to be made into one.
