Matt 0 Posted October 19, 2005 I was happy enough to see them there, made sense to bring them along.

Riaan 0 Posted October 19, 2005 The MACO's worked perfectly with the story line.
Matt 0 Posted October 19, 2005 They kind of became the redshirts of 'Enterprise' tough.
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted October 20, 2005 Yeah but I liked them anyway. They reminded me of later (non-speaking) characters on Trek, you remember; the ones with the silly helmets.
Krissy Phaserman 0 Posted October 20, 2005 (edited) What the heck did MACO stand for? Military Assault COmpany? I always looked at them as the forbearers of Starfleet's Marine Corps that we see in alot of sims now. Edit: By the way, SEALs are cool, but (and I must admit, I am a bit biased as my brother was one) USMC Force Recon is cooler. Matt 0 Posted October 20, 2005 MACO stands for Military Assault Command Operations
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted September 4, 2007 I liked it. The MACOs were super cool. They only suffered 3 fatalities during season 3: Major Hayes,Cpl.Hawkins, and Pvt.Forbes. They were instrumental in bringing an end to the Xindi's Superweapon and it was just awesome to see an elite tactical unit stationed aboard a Starfleet vessel. ussvwbeetle 0 Posted January 8, 2008 I like the MACO addition. It really gave a sense of how Starfleet was origanally military oriented.
Gummy 0 Posted January 8, 2008 I liked them. But I would have liked to have seen more of them.
Admiral Kirk 1 Posted January 13, 2008 I thought the MACO organization actually became part of Star Fleet.
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted January 13, 2008 I liked it chiefly for the way they were able to make it work with the storyline... the necessity of them and all.
mj 7 Posted January 21, 2008 They kind of became the redshirts of 'Enterprise' tough. I saw them as redshirts also, but they were actually written into the series with a little more depth so that we actually felt the loss of Major Hayes.
PhaseSniper 0 Posted January 24, 2008 I like them! You gotta love the special forces!
Krothos 0 Posted April 7, 2008 I like them. The DCinC of the Fleet I am CinC (and XO in a sim I'm CO of) of hates them. I use M.A.C.O.s in my RPG games in the years 2390+. Plenty of M.A.C.O. positions still open.
ddillard 2 Posted April 7, 2008 I liked the addition of them to the storyline.
