Theunicornhunter 2 Posted June 26, 2003 It boggles my mind: Re: The Language Police I don't know what add it might show when you read it but the link to antidrug was unintentional (but very interesting.)
Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted June 26, 2003 I couldn't read it all, it was so bogus! As for the 3 stories: 1. Last time I checked, blindness is a handicap. 2. Dinosuar skeletons have been discovered. 3. Why should race effect what kind of fictional job a person has in a story? This "Language Police" crap sounds like an attack on free speech if you ask me. LadyNarana 0 Posted June 26, 2003 I take issue with one of those especially. Most members of the "religious right" I know don't believe in evolution, but agree that dinosaurs exist/ed. Contrary to some people's opinion, religious people aren't inherently stupid, or uneducated in the sciences.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted June 26, 2003 Political correctness, like anything else, has a time and a place. This, however, is getting to such extremes, it makes me laugh. I mean, really, how can they say "blindness" is not a dissability? If they believe that, then I guess they think blind people shouldn't get handicap parking spaces, eh? RomanticStrings 0 Posted June 26, 2003 Everyone realized that this article was about a book that attacks political correctness, right? It seemed like you were attacking the article directly, but you agree with it. I think that we should all go buy this book. I know that I'd like to. ~Conor
