Five episodes left and this one involved Worf's son Alexander coming back through time to make certain he becomes a Klingon Warrior.

A character developing episode for Worf.

By now, TNG was really starting to run out of steam. The problem with TNG is that it had absolutely no direction. DS9 had the Dominion War, the Bajoran deliverance and the journey of the Emissary. They pushed the show in a direction and it paid off at the end.

TNG didn't have that and it suffered from it.

Rating = 1

once again, I disagree. These are the kinds of episodes I like. I thought the end of the episode was very touching and made me a little misty eyed when grown Alexander hugs his dad. I give this a five for sure, I loved it

Normally, I sit right in front of the TV screen when a Trek episode is on because it is interesting; this one didn't interest me as much, so I sat on the sofa instead.

I'll rate it as 4/5 because of the narrative.

3. Good premise of a story, but it wasn't delivered as well as it could have been. Bonsall did a great job. I love how his eyes lit up at the festival, and how he still clung to the way his mother taught him to disregard Klingon ways. Sloyan didn't do as well as he could have, but still not too bad. Nice moment of turning for Worf too. Pretty good episode.
