I'll be perfectly honest, I've only ever this episode once.

And I hated it. Lwaxana Troi should have only been used as comic relief and I didn't really need to see an episode where she is having some kind of mental breakdown.

Counselor Troi stories are usually borefests and this was no different.

The only thing this episode had going for it is that it starred a young Kirsten Dunst who would grow up to become a hottie, so I'm tempted to award this episode a point just for her. But alas I won't.

This episode gets a rating of 0.

But I'll post THIS to make up for the poor quality episode:

I give it a 1. Lwaxana Troi is imo perhaps the most ill-conceived character in the trek universe. This ep kinda was a take on Betazoid menopause or some woman issue. Not my cup of Earl Grey, but hey whatever makes you happy.

I gave it a 3, actually. Kind of an annoying episode, but Majel Barrett was superb in this one. I actually felt kind of sad for her character. Very believable acting by her. And of course Kirstin Dunst would grow up to be a hottie, but that's really neither here nor there for this one. But Majel's acting and the scene inside her mind brought this episode up to a 3.
