Another comedy episode.

It was obvious that Ardra was never a real threat.

Picard definately should have taken advantage of the fact that Ardra wanted him.

I mean heck, he's only human.

I liked this episode.

Rating = 3.

I gave it a 5. One of the better anti-religion episodes... with the perspective of instead of there being no god, this time, there's no devil. Frankly, I agree with Picard about Ardra. Her attempts at seduction came off like a barfly.

One of the best things about this episode was the pacing. They place the peaks and valleys in just the right places to keep the episode from getting dull. This was also one of those episodes where LeVar Burton can be proud of his performance. Even though he didn't have many lines, his moments were good. Great performances from Stewart and Spiner, too.

Five here...I LOVE Marta Dubois in the role of Ardra...not to mention I love the story concept of an entire planet selling their souls to "The Devil", so to speak.

I gave it a four. At first, I was yawning because yet another powerful being takes an interest in the lead character. But then I realized that one of the reasons Picard knew Ardra was a fake was the fact that she was attracted to him. The real Devil wouldn't have tried to tap Picard. He'd be all about gettin' his due and gettin' gone.
