GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted December 13, 2007 I gave it a 4. A bit gloomy especially when Nog gets injured, but a necessary ep to illustrate the horrors of war.
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted June 7, 2008 5. I really love how well the battle scene was both choreographed/blocked, AND scored. The music really added to and lifted it. The guest actors were terrific too. Wonderfully done.
VaBeachGuy 12 Posted April 29, 2011 Wow, no STF review of this episode? I'll have to work on this once I finish up some lab work for my Unix class this weekend, my personal thoughts are that this is a pretty dark but great episode. It has some great wartime, battlefield drama and a pretty intense battle. I really look at this episode as the first of a two parter that is divided by an unrelated episode. The 2nd part would be "It's Only a Paper Moon". Whenever I watch this episode I follow it right up with that one. This was an excellent episode and I gave it a 5. Mr.Picard 12 Posted April 29, 2011 I remember this episode... it's a war episode that shows me why I don't care that much for DS9 as a TREK series. (I might have liked it as a non-Trek series. I say MIGHT because I'm not a sci-fi fan.) I just prefer the (more or less) peaceful TNG universe. I do admit that the episode was well done and all, but it just isn't for me. It doesn't appeal to me. Therefore I couldn't give it a high rating. It was too much war for my taste. And Vic Failtaine Fontaine REALLY doesn't help matters either... *loathes*
He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted April 29, 2011 This episode was an example of how good DS9 could have been but wasn't.
