That was a great episode. I have to admit that I can't pick just one reason why I liked it. I loved the comedy that the characters of Reed and Tucker put into the situation to get their minds off what was happening. Also, it showed that Malcolm was starting to open up a little bit with the Enterprise crew.

Trip and Malcolm head for Echo III when they believe the Enterprise is destroyed in an asteroid field.

Dominic has said in interviews that this is his favorite episode, and I have to agree that this episode is probably the best episode that I have seen so far in this season. “Shuttlepod One” has some funny moments, especially when Malcolm fantasizes about T’Pol. Malcolm and Trip are on a race for time when they also notice that they are running out of oxygen, staring death in the face, they discover their friendship. This a very nice, friendship episode that is very touching.

There's a deleted scene on the DVD that's just priceless. Great character development, it's really a shame they had to cut it.

One of the best episodes of Enterprise! Redd and Trip really had a great chemistry between them.
