The crew visits a Vulcan monastery to discover that Andorians have taken it over.

I LOVE this episode, by far the best episode in the first season. This is also the episode that introduces the famous Shran. The action is perfecto! I love it. This is definitely another example of great scripting, the end is a surprise that I never saw coming. It makes you asks questions.

In a strange twist, Disc 2 was shipped out first, but received after Disc 3 and 4 arrived, were viewed, and sent back in the mail. I kid you not. So, I saw "Shadows Of P'Jem" first, and knew of the outcome. This was still a great episode. Some hackneyed cliches, and Blalock still isn't all that convincing as a Vulcan.

Still, a 5.
