Madam Captain

Trek quiz

Recommended Posts

I thought I would start a Trek quiz. I will ask a question about Trek and whoever answers it can ask another Trek question. The questions can be about any Trek series or movie, character, actor, alien, planet etc. I will start with a relatively easy questions to get things going:

Which character said this:

"Your brother Rom is an idiot. He couldn't fix a straw if it was bent" ????

This is an easy one!!

Okay, this has nothing to do with the quiz but I just realised that I have 242 posts and it was the same amount last night. I have posted at least 3 posts since last night so I should have close to 250 posts by now.

Hi, Madam Captain!! I could be wrong, but I don't think posts count in the games forum.

Anyway, Odo said it.

Here's one:

"In my expert opinion, it's sick."

EDIT: Nope, my post count didn't go up.

That was Julian in 'The Wire'

Here is another one for you:

Which Trek actor named her son Django??

Ok that one is too easy so here is a harder one for you:

Which Trek actor has a daughter named Sophie?

I believe Nana Visitor named her son Django (and isn't Alexander Siddig the father?). Patrick Stewart has a daughter named Sophie.

Who was the actress originally cast to portray Captain Janeway?

Right on both questions!! Nana Visitor did name her son Django and Alexander Sidig is the father and Patrick Stewart does have a daughter named Sophie.

Okay, I really have to think of a question that will really stump you this time:

Which Trek actor has a deviated septum?

Do you mean in the Pilot of TOS?? I can't recall off hand but I do have the pilot episode on tape - its somewhere in the house. I will have a guess though:

Captain on the bridge?

Here is another question for you:

Which character from TNG was originally considered to continue onto DS9 (the actor that played this character decided not to do another series)?

I believe Ro Laren was originally suggested to be the Bajoran woman on DS9 instead of Kira Nerys..(So glad she didn't!)

When do we see a Ferengi in a starfleet uniform on the Enterprise D ?

The episode was Parallels, the one when Wil wakes up 16 years into the future.

Root Beer

Name the six actors in Star Trek history to wear all three department colours. (Key word, actors not necessarily as the same character)

(Hint: Think holodecks and alternate timelines/universes)

The episode in question, and the one you are describing, is Future Imperfect. Future Imperfect features the Ferengi Conn officer. I believe the confusion here lies in the fact that in Parallels (Worf moving into different quantum realities) one universe visited by Worf features a Cardassian conn officer.

No one going to take a shot at my question? I realize it is pretty tough.

Name the six actors in Star Trek history to wear all three department colours.

Is Robert Picardo one of them?

313145[/snapback]

Yes, Picardo wore red as the ECH, Blue as the EMH, and Yellow as the Maintainence program of the EMH.

I'll give everyone Brent Spiner because his wearing of all three is not well known. He regularly wears yellow as Data and wears Red as XO in Chain of Command. He wore blue as an extra in The Game. When Data is out of commission, Spiner made the appearance as a background sciences crewman in Ten Forward.

There are 4 more:

(Hint: 1 TOS, 1 ENT, and 2 Voyager)

Ok, I don't want to kill this thread so I'm going to answer my own question and ask a new one.

The answers to the uniform question are (in addition to Picardo and Spiner):

-Connor Trinneer (normally wears red, wore yellow as Captain Tucker in Twilight and wore Blue in Acquisition (borrowed the uniform)

-George Takei (wore Blue as physicist and yellow as helmsman, wore red in mirror universe)

-Robert Duncan McNeil (normally wore red, wore yellow in Worst Case Scenario, and blue in Author, Author)

-Garrett Wang (wears yellow, wore blue in Author, Author and red as captain Kim in Endgame)

New question:

What is the title of Star Trek 12, on the Simpsons?
