Theunicornhunter 2 Posted December 19, 2004 As we near the end of the year people are already starting their lists: top news stories, top science stories etc. What do you think was significant about 2004? What was the greatest event of 2004 or the worst? I need to think about this before I post my own ideas.
Odie 0 Posted December 19, 2004 (edited) There are lot of defining moments of 2004. From the war in Iraq to the election. There is so much to choice I need to think about it more. On personal note the most defining moments for me are: Finding STF :P Making great friends on STF. Finding my lost friend and hoping to have a great relationship with him next year. Getting orders to San Diego. <_< Promotion to First Class Petty Officer in the Navy  Edited December 19, 2004 by Odie
Valeris 2 Posted December 19, 2004 Like Odie, I am not really sure what the defining moments for the entire world or country are, but I know my own personal ones. Finding STFN is a big one for me too. How did I live before I knew it!? Moving to Kansas, making friends with a girl I know named Natalia, having my first online boyfriend, going into high school... the list goes on.

mj 7 Posted December 19, 2004 I liked the speech that now Senator-elect Barak Obama from Illinois gave at the Democratic Convention. It was an inspiring moment for me during the political season. It gives me hope that the Democratic party has a future. I have since listened to him in other situations, and he is so sensible. I hope he is able to fulfill his role as senator, which seems to be his current focus, despite the buzz around him looking for him to aspire to so much more.
