Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted May 10, 2003 There are 40 TOS volumes. At $20 each, with 40 volumes, that's $800! Now, the season sets are $100, with 7 season sets, that's $700. TOS only had 3 seasons. Anyone see a problem here? I only have 3 season sets, then recently, I had an idea... Anyone think I should buy a group of TOS volumes at a time off of e-bay to save money, or should I just wait for season sets? Do you think season sets will even be released? Just feels like TOS is neglected these days and I should get it before it's gone. I've barely seen 20 episodes worth, if even that many.

(0.68 seconds Later) Yes..if they release TOS like that...I'll Damn sure get em. If they do release them in sets what I would do (if I were Paramount) is release them in 6 sets and not 3. I say that because TOS episodes are longer and for a whole season it would require more disks. Another reason is just from a business standpoint. Captain Jean-Luc Picard 1 Posted May 25, 2003 The idea of 6 sets is actually a good idea. The show was actually aired out of order with the pilot being the 5th episode aired and so forth. They could give us 13 episodes in each set with 14 on the first, including the original pilot.
removed 0 Posted May 25, 2003 i believe that paramount can actually cash in by releasing the tos in 3 box sets for cheaper. even alot of trek fans refuse to buy them. they will charge less, but they will sell more. simple business that is. and releasing them in six sets would even be smarter, as master_q stated. they would gain as much money as the other series' box sets, so they could put more time and effort and money into them. Stelfan 0 Posted June 3, 2003 If they come out in 3 or 6 box sets I will buy them as soon as I can (working on DS9 right now, but after that)

Syperphobia 0 Posted August 10, 2003 The only DVD's that seem to be worth buying (for my taste that is...) will be Andromeda, Voyager, and Xena.
Admiral Kirk 1 Posted August 11, 2003 I'll probably buy a few. Not the entire series but only certain eps. I have the entireTOS on tape already.
