headborg 1 Posted March 31, 2004 Most of us at one time or another has had a room-mate at some point. Finding the right ones can some times be difficult. Have you had a room mate that caused problems, or just grew to not be able to stand...send your stories to RoomMate Diaries.
fenriz275 0 Posted March 31, 2004 In college I was stuck in a dorm room with two StarWars fanatics. I like Star Wars but sometimes I like to talk about something else, once in a while. By the end of the first semester I would have killed George Lucas myself. :o

LadyNarana 0 Posted March 31, 2004 Three? Wow - I had four in my dorm room, too. No co-ed at all. Think four girls in a room probably smaller than your bedroom, with two dressers, two and a half closets, one sink (community bathroom down the hall), two desks, and five bunks. Not the army, but as close as I want to get. Ok, horror stories? I have the old I-never-got-along-with-her stories, etc. My worst roommate I only had for a semester, thank God. She drove one of the roomies out (there were five of us in the room at the time) in two days, and drove another to thinking of quitting school to get away from her. If she hadn't moved into another hall at Christmas time, I might have requested a transfer to another room myself, and my school seldom granted them. On Thanksgiving Day, she was scalded from the waist down by an industrial sized vat of boiling water. After finding out that she would be all right, my next thought was that the remaining three of us would get some peace for a week while she was in the hospital. I'm ordinarily a peaceful, love-most-people person, but there was no living with a hyper-critical, holier-than-thou person. Not sure if I can do it now that I'm a little older, either! Valeris 0 Posted March 31, 2004 I have actually never had a roomate, but I do remember summer camp and having everyone, whether you hate or love them, sleeping in the same cabin/tent. I remember this one session that by the end of, everyone detested me. Okay, I kind of already knew that by the end of the first week, but still. No one really did anything really bad though; there was just this one guy who cussed me out.

He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted April 1, 2004 I had a roommate who was pretty heavy into independent films (as in making them, he was a film major) and couldn't understand that I wasn't.

Miss Satoire 0 Posted April 1, 2004 I had a roommate in NYC who would bring guy after guy after guy up to her room for... well.. you know. I felt like I was living in a brothel. She later got arrested (for passing bad checks), and after she was bailed out, she disappeared. I then got two roommates from the show I was in, so it all worked out for the best. Those were a pretty rough 6 months, though.

ensign_ro 0 Posted April 1, 2004 when i was younger i had to share a room with my little brother(does that count as a room-mate?), one day in the summer like 2 days before my b-day, my brother decides to cut my hair. i remeber sitting on the stool playing with my little barbies and stuff, then seeing my hair ont he ground i ran down stairs an my older brother laughed at me and said i looked like a monkey.. so i dove under the glass table (which i broke at a later age, see the thread on the stupidest things you've ever done). i actually did look like a monkey.. i have pictures.. ARMS 0 Posted April 1, 2004 My flat mate, used to keep mountains of porn in the flat, and was always in his room making good use of it, because of this he didn't cook, clean, or anything to help out, so i just moved out, he couldn't pay the rent, so he lost the place.
