  1. Any person who has been a fan of Trek (before the TNG series) would have to agree that "The Wrath Of Khan" is the best Star Trek flick of the two selections. First Contact was a good movie, but it definately did not have the depth of the TWOK.

I think you know how I voted... :flex:

  2. I am a big fan of the Final Fantasy games. I have every one of the PSOne and PS2 titles.

I was a big fan of "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" even though the movie had no characters from any of the games. (But they did have the character "Cid" in the movie which was good enough for me.)

I have not heard about this new movie, but if it comes to the States, then I think it will do great. Final Fantasy 7 was a great title, with a great story, and CGI has improved so well that the movie would be fantastic.

  3. Oh yeah, I will be watching. I have the DVD's too but I am still going to watch them on the tele. Good stuff, now Voyager needs to make the cut.

I think it sad that Spike has more Trek on it than UPN. Oh well, good times...

  4. I think of lying the same way that Elim Garak from DS9 did...

"Lying is a skill like any other and if you want to maintain a level of excellence you have to practice constantly." -- Garak

"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?" -- Bashir

"My dear Doctor, they're all true..." -- Garak

    "Even the lies?" -- Bashir

    "Especially the lies." -- Garak

  5. The little girl in the series "Taken" Allie (Dakota Fanning) is getting ready to hit the big screen again. She will be in the upcoming movie Man On Fire, with Denzel Washington.

I fell in love with Allie in the series, and book. She was a great character who was wise beyond her years. I am glad to own the DVD miniseries, and watch it montly.

  6. There were several complaints of spamming and post padding in that section.

Post padding? Would you care to elaborate?

If you are going to dock future game posters from their count, then why dont you dock all of the past game posts counting toward current posting ranks? This would seem fair to me.

  7. My favorite movie is... "The Meaning Of Life" and my favorite MP song in a movie is the song played at the end of the "Meaning Of Life" movie.

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving

And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour,

That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned,

A sun that is the source of all our power.

The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see

Are moving at a million miles a day

In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour,

Of the galaxy we call the 'Milky Way'.

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.

It's a hundred thousand light years side to side.

It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick,

But out by us, it's just three thousand light years wide.

We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point.

We go 'round every two hundred million years,

And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions

In this amazing and expanding universe.

The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding

In all of the directions it can whizz

As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,

Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.

So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,

How amazingly unlikely is your birth,

And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,

'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth.

Okay, okay... mabye that is not my favorite song...

*And Now For Something Completely Different....*

  8. I watched the movie in the theatre and was thoroughly entertained. While the movie did make me jump once (when the alien reached for the kid in the cellar), it was not really scary. It only really became truly "scary" when you stopped and did a "what if" something like this happened in "actual" life.

A great movie overall, with a unique srcipt. I like it and watch it regularly on DVD.
