    i'm glad to see i'm not the only ghostbusters fan. i had a ton of stuff as a kid. still have my staypuft marshmallow man the fire station playhouse no extras though. i still love it.

     

    i like both movies. loved the real ghostbusters. my favorite characters were everyone. i can't choose one. but i did peter. i liked his relaxed attitude. aww i miss my real ghostbusters. my ecto cooler. i just miss ghostbusters heyday. i still have hope for a third movie because i had read a while back that they had canned men in black two and they made that movie. so i still hold out hope that they will make another one. i was the biggest ghostbusters fan out of anyone i knew. i still am out of the people i know.

    that sounds like the problem we had with my mom's computer last year. i forgot what my friend did to fix it. he told me and i can't remember. there was one thing he said was to put the computer into safe mode and run your anti virus and spyware and if that didnt' work i don't remember what else there was .that's all i can think of right now.

    i just bought my copy today and one word AWESOME! i especially love the packaging. it has a sort of holographic quality to it. the disc themselves are impressive as well. it was well worth the $29 that i spent on it. i'm wondering if there are any hidden easter eggs like previous star trek dvds. i'm going to have to do some tinkering and see. so if you are looking to own some trek epsiodes on dvd this is the way to go. it makes a nice little starter set. i would still buy it even if i owned the season sets because of the packaging. one downside you have to be careful putting the sleeve insert thing back because i already slightly bent a corner. i'm thinking of designing my own covers and put them into some blank cd cases.

    Just wanted to let those interested know that when the set comes out tomorrow the 7th. that walmart will have it for $29.00. that's what the little price sticker in front of the little empty spot showed tonight when i was there. so if anyone's interested in saving about $13.00 walmart is the place to go.

    here are few more new ones:

     

    trying to get certan body parts, you know which ones i'm talking about. is not really a good idea. also it's not very sanitary either. some people would not want to see them. me included. i'm there to see stars not someone's derriere getting signed or at least attempting to get it signed.the 8x10s that are provided or purchased should suffice and are more sanitary. they are also easier to display in the long run than some body parts. who would want their picture signed with a sharpie that has been on who knows what body part? i know i wouldn't like that at all. especially if it smells like that body part.

     

    a convention is a great place to meet someone. just go about it the right way. for example guys don't want up to a girl or whomever you are trying to meet and say " hey wanna check out my phaser!" or " wanna see my light saber?"or "i've got my phaser set on stun, because you are so stunning" not cool. you likely will get slapped and or taken off the premises by security if any are around. flirting is okay as long as it's done appropriately. one way is if you see the someone you want to meet actually holding a phaser and lightsaber and commenting like where'd you get that? is that the one that comes with..? etc. you get the picture.

     

    if you buy that great poster you've been wanting or the 8x10 and you aren't staying at the hotel that is close to or where the event is held and it's raining. don't worry about protecting them. a little rain won't hurt. might even clean things up a bit. it'll also double up as great protection from the rain if you forgot an umbrella or rain jacket or something. don't worry it'll dry out eventually. might not be in the greatest shape but i'll dry out eventually.

    i think it was sort of wrong to have a lesser gpa for the team than the rest of the student body. it should have been equal for everyone. at my high school it used to be a little known fact that if you were a senior you automatically made the team not matter how good you were. so it seems that athletes sometimes get treated a little better than everyone else.

    i think it would be nice to have another tv special i own a copy of the 30th one on tape. if they couldn't air it on tv at least put it on dvd. i'd like a special especially if some of it was taped at the big convention in vegas just to give those of us who don't have the means to get there a little taste of it.

    my ten year old brother is obsessed with this movie. we went to all the stores we could to get him the cd when the movie was first out last month and had to order it online. he comes home from school everyday and plays it. he's actually working on the getcha head in the game song for a dance number in his school's talent show. he also taped it and watches that everyday as well. hopefully it comes out on dvd before the tape wears out.

    update to the tips in the costume section:

     

    if you're going to say a stargate convention. don't be sg1 or the team from atlantis be the gate, be the ramp that leads to the gate, heck why not the blast doors. or if you're desperate go as the guy that says the whole chevron locked speech.

     

    or if it's a general sci fi convention that covers many shows and movies do a combo thing be half enterprise half the gate etc. you could have quite the interesting comboinations going. but becareful to make sure you can breath through your creation you don't want to end up passed out on the floor of the dealer's room because you didn't put in air holes. you never know who may kick you when your down?

     

    NEW TIP:

     

    one last tip. don't go to a star trek or stargate convention with a light saber. some trekkies/trekkers;gate fans might take offense and meet you in the parking lot possibly with a few of the stars.it could be quite the mob scene. you really don't want to be the joke that made the eleven o'clock news that got their butt kicked by a bunch of outraged fans and stars. do you? you never know the video if any could end up on the internet. you could become a living legend for all the wrong reasons, do you want that?

    i really am for sticking with the current system. yes the isp providers will need to expand their compacity.

     

    the tiered system might seem good but that might leave the lower levels at a disadvantage with the people paying for the premium service so to speak gets better service.

     

    spreading out the cost is better than priortizing in the long one.

     

    the taxing of spammers great idea. there's something like that coming out where if you want to send an email directly into someones inbox you pay a penny per email to have it skip the spam filter.

     

    the overall long term picture is what really needs to be looked at not just some short term fix that could do more harm than good in the long run.
