I dunno if this is supposed to be in a spoiler, but the new Star Trek movie is kinda like recent Godzilla movies. Starting with Godzilla 2000, the only thing that each successive movie shared with the continuity is the very first Godzilla movie. Each movie was basically a sequel to the original, so you had about 4 or 5 sequels in a row.

Hopefully NASA doesn't mess this new telescope up the same way they did with Hubble when a bunch of rocket engineers and astrophysicists forgot that the lens might warp due to the fact that there's NO GRAVITY in orbit...

THe local theater right next to where I go to school will have showings on Thursday. It helps cause my teacher is also going to the same showing, so I can get out on time for it.

The limited info Kor posted on the subject painted Stewart in a negitive light and I my response was to that limited information in his post.Kor could/should have told the whole story and/or posted a link and this would have been avoided.
Thats not fair..... I copied the entire article that I read. I didn't just pick out parts. I shouldn't be accused of doing so without even being asked! That was the whole thing. If there is a more complete article, I wish someone would post it........
I did, it's one page one. You must have seen and chose to ignore it. Mind showing the link to your "entire article"?
I would give you the link but the article was on AOL and its gone now. Are you implying that I'm lying? I've posted hundreds of articles in the past. Show me one instance where I've shortened one or just posted bits of one. My history speaks for itself. I shouldn't have to defend myself here. Besides, who really cares about this article anyway? I sure don't. I just thought it was funny.
I really don't care about it either, I am willing to let the whole thing go as a misunderstanding if you are.
You don't care, yet you call a member here a lier... You flat out said that Kor was editing the article to suit his needs, then when others support him with facts, you claim that you don't care and think it's a misunderstanding.

I agree with you Kor. Alterego could have done something called "research" and look for another story related to this. AE, Kor has always posted full articles, and not edited it. Besides, you were the one that used the word "asshole".

I personally like the "Not Your Father's Star Trek" line. To me, it's saying to the average person "just cause it's got the name Star Trek doesn't mean it's campy or nerdy".

If we send aid to those oppressed in Burma/Myanmar, it most likely will end up with a situation similar to Somalia, with the leaders taking all the aid for themselves. It's sad, but most likely what would happen.

I do have to ask to those who hate Colbert, do you hate him, or his character from his show? Also, if you hate his character, then he's done his job, since he's stated several times that his greatest fear is to actually start thinking like that.
Star says IMAX is a sham

There's a local IMAX theater here, but they never got Star Trek. The only "real" movie I saw there was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, they had The Dark Knight, but every time they had a showing, I was busy. It's a real IMAX screen too.
