Tony, I was just thinking we needed to get something like this here.
for those of you not in the know, I'm also a writer on the show and co-created it.
We're doing some cool stuff. Believe me, Tony is a great writer.
Check it out some time.

That stinks. I could have seen that tonight. I've been eager to see that show anyway.
-
Yeah, it's likely more of a reference to their long voyage home, than anything else.
-
Sure it did. The first movie would naturally be about the return of Sisko, the return of Odo and to a lesser extent, the birth of Sisko's child. The rebuilding of Cardassia would probably be explored and perhaps even a petition for Cardassia to join the UFP. Lots of areas left for the big screen.
I'm actually part of an online series where we do a lot of stuff with this. It's been a lot of fun.
Anyway. I've always been partial to "All Good Things...". Sometime I need to see "What You Leave Behind" again. I was pretty young when I saw it the first time, so I might be better able to appreciate it now.
(Wow, it's been almost 7 years since DS9 ended
)

People may not have noticed this but the guy that Ezri was helping fix the Communications link (Kellin) was Billy Mummy (Will Robinson from Lost In Space).
Okay, is that the same Bill Mummy who played Lennier on Babylon 5?

I always thought that his relationship with Garak was very much more interesting. Just the differences between the two, plus the fact that, hey it's Garak! What not to love.
-
Definitely the fact that they focus on the TNG characters more than the ENt characters.
The idea might have been interesting for a regular episode, but the finale, no way. OI VE!
The fact that Riker and Troi leave the holodeck right before archer's famous speeck really ticked me off.

BUMP.

Porthos all the way.
-
That'll be nice. I have class most afternoons. I can usually see atleast 1 episode, but it's a struggle not to get pulled into the next one.
-
Sure Janeway and Picard had grudges, but what about Guinan? Her planet was wiped out by the Borg. She gets my vote.
-
Thuis is interesting. It kind of challenges the old magic that keep the shuttles up in the atmosphere without wings.
I suspect that there is appropriate techno-babble that can explain, but it still irritates me.

And there is no possability of encountering any new races is there?.
The dinamic ofthe Galaxy would change, but it would all return to normal. Just like when the Federation comes together, making allies of the Vulcans, Andorians, and Tellarites (all of whom were once on the verge of war at one point or another). There is still a lot of galaxy left and a lot more "antagonists" to discover.
Things change. Alliances form. And there are always more bad guys.
Merging the two isn't necessaryNeither were--
-the Borg
-Data
-Georgi's blindness
-the Dominion
-the Dominion War
-the Wormhole
-a Klingon (Worf) joining Starfleet
-Voyager getting pulled across the galaxy
-many, many more things
None of these were neccessary. But they served as major parts of Star Trek.
They brought new threats and a new struggles into the Universe of Star Trek.
An attempt to re-unifiy Vulcan and Romulan cultures would be the same thing.

When Khan puts the larvae in Checov and Captain Terrell's space helmets. I was squirming so badly. Ugh. Just scary.
-
I voted for Jadzia. I know that she would be forceful and at the same time wise and campasionate. She would make an awesome Captain.
But I'd love to see a show with Data as a Captain. It would be fun seeing the crew come to trust him.
I could see Geordi as a good Captain too.
-
Definitely his experiments. (I hate smart kids)
But a close second goes to Worf's batleth. Oh man that would be sweet.
-
Um...let's see...uh yeah.
One of Enterprise's best shows, and I'd better second only to 'The Forgotten' and 'Twilight'.
-
It will never happenVulcans are exposition characters who advance plots and explain things to the viewers.
Romulans are antagonists who's main purpose is to create threats and problems for the main characters of a given Star Trek series to solve or deal with in whatever way.
Merging the two isn't necessary.
King take off the cynic/ TV glasses and look at the question in terms of the Trek universe, instead of a TV universe.
I'm sorry to be a jerk but... B)

That was also used in "1984". There were threee nations on Earth (Oceania, Eastasia, and Eurasia). No alliance of any two nations could over whelm the other nation, and to do so would throw off the balance of power, and throw the planet into chaos.
-
Kind ofa retorical question, but does anyone think that the Vulcans and Romulans will ever be reunited?
More than that, would you want to see something like that happen, or would it ruin Star Trek getting rid of a great enemy like the Romulans.
-
I think that 'These are the Voyages' was a cursed concept from the outset. It was a cheap plot device. It wouldn't have been as bad a regular episode, but it was such a cheap way to end the show.
We should have heard Archer's speech, Hoshi and Travis should have been promotted, Trip should have had his own command, and T'Pol shouldn't have given a rip if Trip 'missed' her.
-
I like the idea of the Klingons entering into the Federation. It would just be a great plot line. I think that it might still be an effect from the Dominion War, and maybe even financial problems starting as far back as the Praxis explosion.
I wonder how Starfleet would deal with the Klingon fleet, and the Klingon's having cloaking devices. That would piss off the Romulans so bad.
Speaking of the Romulans, Daniels didn't say the Romulans, but that doesn't rule out the possability of re-unification.
I know it would remove two of Trek's best villain races, but just the thought of uniting the quadrant in a way that had never been considered before is such a cool thought.
-
I think it was very dramatic, I just wish the movie was better, so that I wouldn't have to sit through all of that just to get be moved by his death.
-
Actually, I think that might have been Scotty. I'm almost certain. I know Mccoy asked in 'The Final Frontier' on the Enterprise-A, but I'm almost certain that Scotty asked the question in Generations. However, I bet that line might have gone to McCoy anyway.
Voyager and Voyager
in Star Trek: Voyager

Hmm, I don't know.
I like the simplicity of Voyager but Galaxy's End or Outer Bounds has an interesting ring to it.
I don't know, I suppose its just greener grass.
